Tein does, I know, I've installed a set. The difference is where the strut/coilover bolts to the hub. The hubs have been redesigned.

I know of the difference w/ the '05 STI, but I thought the '05 WRX would fit the same suspension pieces as an '02 WRX.

'05 WRX is the same as '02-'04, in terms of coilovers.
'05 STi is different. |

*Only* the '05 STi is different. Rest of the lineup is still the same old stuff they've used for quite a while. -Biggly |

This is what through me off thinking they were different. I was going to pick up a set of coilovers from www.omnipowerusa.com I emailed him for a price for an 05 wrx and he replied back saying "We only have >04, the 05 hub is different, mounting block is wider and 2 bolt holes are farther apart. Sorry so do you think he was refering to the STI??? I had these on my Type R and they were great.

No, he isn't a good enough vendor to know that only the STi has that and not the WRX. It fits 02-05 WRX/RS/etc and 04 STi. Basically, everything BUT the '05 STi.
He's just made an assumption, and a safe one (from a vendor's perspective) at that. Can't blame him really, but he does need to be more informed. -Biggly |
