Default Other Maintenance to do along with head gaskets?

my 135k mile 2012 WRX needs head gaskets. I'm trying to think of other smart things to do while I have the engine out. I'm not looking for mods or power adders, the car is stock and will stay that way.

So far I have
- pcv valve
- turbo oil filter/screen
- check clutch
- replacing most of the exhaust hardware

Anything Else I should be doing while the engine is out?

i recommend replacing any brittle vacuum lines, mine were rock hard on my 08 @ 115k. Especially the ones on the passenger side of the engine, from the turbo heat.
Even removing most of them caused them to break, also had a leak on a few of them even though they looked ok, when i started pulling i could see they had split along the bottom.

The most obvious is all the timing components and water pump. What exhaust items would you need to replace besides gaskets?

You're way better off reusing the original water pump than putting a cheap aftermarket replacement on.

And you should just go ahead and replace the clutch, save yourself a bunch of labor in the not too distant future.

Gaskets/seals like rear main, valve covers, cam and crank.
Check valve adjustment.
Check to see if your engine has a history of cracked oil pickup tubes.
Rubber hoses like cooling hoses.

Spark plugs I did roughly 10k miles ago, so I'll leave those alone. When I did the timing belt at ~95k I also did the water pump (used subaru OEM), so I think that's ok.

My clutch was done at 30k under warranty (bad throw out bearing), if it's toast after 100k I'll have to hit myself for sucking that bad. But I'll inspect it.

Vacuum lines are a great idea, thank you.
Exhaust hardware i'm referring to is all the bolts/nuts. New England car so that stuff rusts up bad.

I bought a whole gasket kit, everything from valve cover to main seals to valve seals. I'll be replacing everything I can during the process.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

If it's still got considerable life left after 100k you're ahead of 99% of the rest of the world.
