Default G-Power Hurricane CS based on the Bmw M6

Quote:
Most of you may know already that the German company G-Power is an outrageous tuner due to customized cars such as the M5 Sedan and the X5 SUV. In order to continued the list in extremely modified Bmws, the manufacturer revealed today its latest masterpiece: the Hurricane CS based on the Bmw M6.

What is so special about this vehicle? Well, besides the looks the vehicle is the fastest coupe in the world from the Bavarian manufacturer with a top speed of 370km/h or 231mph. But how is that possible? Under the hood the V10 engine was boosted to an impressive 750 hp, with the help of some ECU tweaking and new superchargers, and 800 Nm of torque.

With these numbers the vehicle can sprint to 100 km/h or 62 mph in just 4,4 seconds (with 0.1 seconds faster than the Bmw X5 M and X6 M), to 200 km/h (124 mph) in just 9.6 seconds and to 300km/h (187 mph) in just 26 seconds. Of course, in order to achieve these speeds, the vehicle has been fitted with high performance Pilot Sport PS2 tires but also with Carbon-Ceramic breaking system with 6-piston calipers and brake discs with 380 mm in diameter.

The vehicle features now a completely new body kit which consists in a new front bumper, new hood, front fenders, side sills, rear fenders, rear trunk spoiler and rear apron with integrated central exhaust system. The kit provides a weight loss of 24 kg. Inside we have new carbon-fiber sport buckets, new steering wheel and new carbon-fiber accessories. Price of the vehicle: €360,000 or $477,500

Things that stick out to me in this article:

231mph

0-62 = 4.4 seconds

750hp

$477500

thats a mighty slow 0-62 for 750hp, and some serious coin. must be geared more toward 150+mph to be so slow off the line... impressive power and speed claims though

:Puke:

The 6 is BMW's worst looking car ever since they redesigned the 7.

You forgot a few important issues, traction and weight. Once it is hooked up it seems to go rather well and also they may have saved 24kg but the car started life with 1710kg.

yes it is definitely a heavy car, but a quick check of stats shows that a stock version does 0-60 in 4.3. sure you could give .1 sec to it for the 0-60/0-62 difference, but 250 extra hp and accompanying torque had better get you goin faster than that.

Agree with everything except for the color choice and the sweet looking-ness. It looks pretty damn awful to me.

It's actually closer to 0.4 sec for the 60/62 difference because of the roll-out thing, and then it depends on whether you're measuring this on a drag strip or an unprepped road. 0-124 mph in 9.6 sec is probably the more useful figure. It's 11.9 sec for the Z06 and and 10.3 sec for the ZR1.
