Need moar RA.

Although seeing them languish at local dealers, by the time I'm ready to buy one, I'll probably be able to get a still new leftover.....

Don't believe so. Potentially at Boxerfest, though. Subaru says that are going to announce or show something off there (besides the #1 Type RA) on their Facebook page.

Type in "cool gray khaki Crosstrek" into Google and you'll see a ton. I'd post a photo but don't want to figure it out right now, ha.

Really thinking about trading my '17 base WRX for a '19 base STi. Curious to see what people are getting quoted at.

Just a point of reference, I ordered my 18' STI on May 27 last year. The car was made in June (from the VIN plate) and arrived at the dealership on Aug 13. The wait was painful but totally worth it.

Here's the trick:

Keep your eyes focused for a long period on the orange one, and after the cool grey will appear... almost grey

It's in the name. Cool implies temperature. So it has a blue tint.

here are the 3 quotes I got (just the car, no tax or fees or anything) on a 2019 STI with short shifter, floor mats, cargo tray, and homelink mirror:

One Metro Detroit dealership quoted me MSRP... Thanks for that guys...: $ 38,534.00

Heuberger: $ 35,039.00 (earlier in the thread I said they quoted me at $ 34,308.00 but this was, indeed, before my desired options were added)

And another Michigan Dealership said $ 35,972.00, which was a surprisingly good discount under MSRP. Still cheaper for me to get it shipped from Colorado Springs though! I will be waiting to hear responses from a couple other local dealers before pulling the trigger. Good luck, and let me know if you find a bargain on one in the midwest

Ordered base STI last Friday. Was quoted just under 36k out the door. Going to sell 2016 wrx privately so hoping to put cash down. End of July for delivery supposedly, so waiting (im)patiently

Nice. I had the day off so I went and test drove an '18 STi. I liked it. Just gotta decide if I liked it enough to justify the extra $$.

Be careful with Heuberger as I kept getting quoted with a 489 fee if the vehicle is registered 200 miles away from Colorado Springs.
I live over in Northeast Indiana and the best I have found so far has been in Northwest Indiana as every other dealership (South Bend, Fort Wayne, Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo) quoted me either MSRP to about 1600 below.

I went to my local dealership today and inquired about the series.gray and they said that the 19' WRX arrives in July and the series.gray arrives in September.

That seems like a phenomenal deal. What is the tax rate where you are and what dealer, if you don't mind? I wasn't able to do that well any where in my state. I'm pretty upset that about a month after I bought my car, I learn about the better internals in the '19s.

I must have pissed someone at Sellers off pretty hard tbh, because I have heard they're the best around but they're the guys that quoted me MSRP! So much for no-haggle transparent pricing...

The addition of better internals and carplay caught my attention, but alas carplay doesn't allow waze on screen.... so I'll continue to wait for the second model year DIT Sti.

Why not just use the standard maps app over waze?

Yeah no haggle transparent is a scam and not true at any dealer that says so. Email them back your lowest quote and see if they’ll come down. Even something simple like window tint all around is several hundred bucks, they did it for 80 from a tint shop down the street.

I had several Detroit area dealers not even reply to my inquiry, so maybe they think folks are not serious buyers for the STi , I don’t know. Hodges and sellers were the lowest I could get. I spent a few weeks going around via email with 4-5 regional dealers and threw out I’d pay 35k for one off the lot instead of an order I was trying to do. They came back at a number 36xxz and I got the tint thrown in and down to the 35750.

My salesman was Anthony and his boss James finished the deal while Anthony was on vacation or something with me.
