Unhappy Subispeed Fog Light Bezel Leaks

I purchased the aforementioned fog light bezels used from another NASIOC user. I had previously read reports on here of moisture entering the fog light bezels after some time. I took the risk of buying them used, and understand that Subispeed has zero obligation to support the bezels I bought.

That being said, I was wondering if anyone has advice on correcting the issue. I was thinking of sealing the gap between the light and the bezel with silicone sealant, after taking a blow dryer to the bezels and making sure they're dry inside.

I had this happen to me with a set of taillights I bought from someone. The reverse stopped working in one and Subispeed claims that the "warranty is non transferrable" even though the product has subispeed etched on the lens inside and the QR code on the back. Ridiculous that subispeed won't stand behind their product

Most warranties apply to the original purchaser. When this is the case, the second and later purchaser assumes the risk that the item is non-compliant or damaged, etc.

Using your example, there are many, many goods out there that bear the name of the business that sold it. Does this mean that if the good was purchased used and bears such name that they are obligated to provide warranty?

I purchased these and did hear about moisture getting in. What I did and I hope mitigates this is I covered mine in lamin-x. I left a little overlap across the seal hoping prevents enough moisture from entering. I did yellow cause I wanted yellow drls but there are clear options for lamin-x or something similar

I purchased SubiSpeed's tail-lamps and LED fog-lamp bezels as the original purchaser and had one of the back-up lamps fail and one fog-lamp bezels fog-up from moisture and had both replaced under warranty. I have not had a problem since.

It can and does happen and fortunately in my case, I was the original purchaser so I could have them warranted.

That's an interesting idea. I'm going to try the silicone idea this weekend and report back.

Yeah, I sometimes take the risk of buying things used, and sometimes buy new. Considering the reports of leakage on this product, I probably should have spent maybe $50 more and bought new.
