Dave, I'm horribly sorry I didn't see your reply... if you still need a price, please let me know. I have a feeling the STi block will be more attractive pricewise vs. benefits in the long run though .

Two more went out the door this afternoon, and three more came in to take there place . Get them while they last!

Nope, perfectly good question . You get:

* The 2 semi closed block halves
* Crankshaft
* Main and rod bearings
* Rods
* Pistons
* Piston rings

and it's all assembled for you . It is a motor minus heads/accessories basically.

How long would shipping take to NY? Also what does the gasket set include?

Thanks

Indeed . It is a 2.5L semi-closed block, identical to that found on the USDM STi.

New York would likely be only a day or two- we're just over in NH. The gasket kit is a complete reseal kit for the engine- you'll find head gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets, spark plug gaskets, cam seals, front and rear main seals- it's quite an extensive list . If you have a seal anywhere on the engine, it's going to be in this box . To give you an idea of what's in there:

Can't get a long block... Subaru will only release them for warranties . Believe, me I tried . Cams would be $175 each.

DOH!! Thanks! The problem I have is I want to build this motor and still drive my car, so when it comes time I can just swap the whole thing in and out.

How about the EJ205 heads? sorry for all of the questions, but I would like to buy all of my parts from one person

The heads on the WRX don't come as complete remans yet, so I'd have to get you a piece by piece price, then you'd have to have them assembled. The parts price alone will probably make you cry . I have no problems getting them for you, but the piecemeal STi heads are better than $3000 and the WRX ones won't be much better .

Almost all of the sensors in the engine are on the heads or in the intake manifold, plus you are likely going to be using your stock heads on this block. I'd go with the stock ECU until you go piggyback or aftermarket ECU. I'd only go STi ECU if you also got a set of STi VVT heads.
