The side skirts I did a little different though; 3 coats of plastidip, 2 coats of rustolium bed liner to protect it from rocks and such since the natural side skirt had many nicks from them. Even at a close glance you really can't tell the difference until you touch it and feel the sand paperish feel. I'm thinking of doing the entire car eventually though and I'd like some opinions. Plastidip the car a pearlescent blue… Any thoughts? I got the idea after watching dipyourcar.com's video on the the new pearlescent mix.
Wow that looks like **** bro

I never thought of doing a set up like that, and I would with trucks everyday haha. Very nice

You said $13,000 , a comma and an extra zero makes a huge difference.

You asked for opinions and thoughts... and people are giving you their honest opinion and thoughts.

If you're going to be sensitive about it, don't ask, or accept you might get negative responses.

He's got a point- this forum should critique more on quality of work then taste as much as it does. Too much of what you see in a thumbnail pic gives you zero idea of what your real life opinion would be. Had the same thing last year in striping my car, people talked nothing but trash on here then saw it at a meet and loved it. If it's not a horrendous color or peeling like crap, give it a 'clean work, just not my thing', no wonder every smaller specialty forum talks smack about Nasioc. This thread in particular should hold back on the smack just to keep people posting.

Found an app that makes youtube videos way easier. This is a little video explaining the switch. It's really simple. I insulated the wires really well through the firewall and grill so it's safe as well.

My opinion, post this in the PLASTI DIP thread, because in no way is this unique. The entire point of UNIQUE modifications is something that hasn't been done or rarely been done. Plasti dip is a fad that you've taken into, so post it in the right forum.

Personally I wouldn't subject my car to that treatment.

I'm not a fan of 2-tone on the outbacks not to mention how awful it looks on the imprezas out these days. Why?

I don't need my car to look pretty, I prefer being able to drive it without worrying about a rock chip or even pothole

Yea the hardest part is taking the tape of cause the plasti dip just peals back with the tape. I might try it with the plasti dip still wet idea.

the plasti dip has to wet when you remove the tape, its the only way to do it unless you wanna run a knife along the tape line (not a great idea) to separate the dip on the car from the dip on the tape.

:Yoda_Voice: Horrible mistake you have made.

Duuuuuude, what on earth have you done to that poor new car? Will that peel off? Why didn't you just get the paint on the rear quarter panel fixed when your wheel ****ed it up?

I take it you put the coilovers on? Did you ever go get an alignment, and have them put some negative camber on those wheels?

Oi vey that plasti-dip is not looking good at all. Call me a hater or whatever I just feel like you took a brand new car and seriously hacked the paint up.

I asked for thoughts on the pearlescent plastidip idea. I didn't ask for people's retard opinions of what my parts are on my car
