maybe fill them in w/a dab of OE touch up paint

you dont want ugly rust spots forming

but really? that's about all you can do

yeah i figured that was about the only thing....however from what i have seen the OE touch up paint sucks for the WRB...its always off because of the pearl action in the paint......but thanx for the suggestion.

Is there some kind of enamel..or clearcoat or something someone knows of? i would hate to have it ruse like jamie said....

I have the exact same problem with my WRX. i copped some sweet little rocks on a gravel road. I'm getting all my little dings pulled and paint touched up at the shop when I get the funds. I find the best thing to do until then is clean her up and put a big thick layer of wax on the affected areas. This should keep the rust away until you get them sorted. i have had mine for about 6 months... hope that helps.

Something like that happened to me. I was heading to the tracks to meet my friend with a LGT up there and all of a sudden a f***in rock taps my window and I look down and see a crack and I only had the STi for 2-3 months

I have used and continue to use paintscratch.com

Wash the area, use the paint pen to fill in the dings, cover with clearcoat, use their rubbing compound to smoothen and then wax it over.

Probably your best bet other than taking it to a professional paint/body shop.
Much cheaper and looks pretty darn good considering.
Just my .02.

The only solution is invest in clear bra www.Rockblocker.com

When i first got my Sti i thought it wasn't necesary but everytime i wash my car there is always a new road chips on my bumper. To me its still no big deal re-painting the bumper is not expensive but one day when i notice i have a raod chip on my hood it changes everything i bought a clear bra at www.rockblocker.com that night. To me its the best protection investment i made.

I use the little bottle of oem paint fix up. Its VERRY hard to get the right color though. I use a little easle(sp?) and put different samples of the paint on there, then I try my best to blend in the best colors. It works pretty good. But I have to find a clearcoat...anyone recomend one?

Also wondering this.

I got a big chip in my hood, got the OE touchup paint from the dealer, some primer, sand paper, and went to town. In the end the match came out well but I got a little too sand paper happy and sanded away some surrounding clear coat, so there is a noticable indentation when you know where and how to look for it. Going to try to fill it in this summer...

The Subaru touch-up paint is actually a very good match, but it is a PITA to work with. The key is to shake the little bottle for about 20 minutes. After shaking, I always use the brush to put a big blob of paint into a small glass bowl. I then add laquer thinner until the paint is easy to work with. Using a super fine camel hair brush (from a local art supply store), I stir up the paint in the bowl (to put the metallic into suspension), then immediately apply a thin coat of paint into the chip. I keep repeating the process until the chip is filled. It works very well, but you need to be patient.

aluminum can rust, especially since its aluminum alloy, its just harder to rust. leave stainless steel in a bucket or water and it will eventually rust. wrx touch up paint sux. its darker for me. i hate it.
