Nino is great. I bought springs, he gave me the best price anywhere. I am now getting hid's and he showed me how they look and how he installed them, and answered all of my questions.

Give him a try, he is very helpfull and is better then any of the other vendors here. The list of companys products he can get is amazing!!!

Thanks for saving me alot of $$$.

Thumbs up for Nino!

Everything I've ordered so far has been shipped quickly (my second day stuff got here on the second day), the transactions have been flawless, and the scooby bits perfect.

Unhappy NinosAutoAccesories - Bad Experience

Well, here is my story:
In early August, I purchased a Wilwood/Kangaroo Paw brake kit, SS lines, and rear slotted rotors from Nino. When I finally got the package on 8/30/02, I opened it and found only one rotor and one caliper. The box was all taped up, so I assumed that it was a packing error. I PMed Nino to notify him of the problem, and that is where my nightmare began.

He replied by stating that he had packed the parts correctly, then proceeded to imply that I was falsifying a claim in order to obtain a third rotor and caliper. I was so shocked and caught off guard that I had no idea how to reply. I then took numerous pictures of the box and its contents and sent them to him. He only replied by restating that he had packed everything correctly, going on to specify that he weighed an identically packed box and that the weight matched the figure on his USPS shipping slip.

I then gave him a call and was able to persuade him to contact the post office to shed some light on the discrepancy. After the weekend I PMed him again to see if there had been any developments, and he told me that he was told there was no way to find out the receiving weight when I picked it up. I offered to send him back the entire package in a larger box so that he could examine it himself and have it handy if the post office asked to see it. But he refused, saying that it would be a waste of shipping.

I PMed again after a few days, and he said that the post office was sending him a form. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I offered to send back the widowed caliper and rotor and that we split the cost of the lost parts. He refused stating, "I still have doubts as to what may have happened to these pieces that you say were not in the box and I will not take the hit."

I got so fed up with his attitude that I told him I would send him back everything just to clear my name. He wrote back saying that he would not accept any packages from me.

So, now I've got one rotor and one caliper (which is of course, completely useless). I may as well have thrown over $1000 into the wind. There's a lesson here somewhere. "Get a printed statement of your packages' receiving weight upon pick-up", or maybe "Avoid vendors who use the USPS". I don't know. I just hope somebody learns something from this.

Before ordering from Nino, I took the time to read over his reviews and they were all pretty good. But I guess the real test for a vendor is not when things are going smoothly, but how they react when things go wrong.

For those who care, below is our correspondence copy-pasted verbatim from my PM box:

D: Dude wrote on 08-07-2002 10:50 AM:
Hello,
I ordered the Wilwood/Kangaroo Paw kit BLUE with SS lines and rear slotted-only rotors last week. did it ship yet? is there a tracking #?
thank you

N: Has not shipped yet.I will pm you the tracking # when it does

D: What is the ETA on my package?

N: I should be able to get it out mon.

D: Dude wrote on 08-20-2002 05:00 PM:
...it's been a bit over a week, has thes gone out?
thanks

N: I'm sorry,What part was it again?

D: Dude wrote on 08-20-2002 06:16 PM:
...it was this package
Wilwood/ Kangaroo Paw kit BLUE
SS lines F and R
Pair Slotted-only rear rotors

N: Yes it shipped out USPS on the 15th.You should have it tomm or thurs. The confirm # is 23010370000137724516

D: Dude wrote on 08-25-2002 09:14 PM:
This is not me!
You've already charged my card. can I please have an update!

N: Yes.The confirmation number is for your shipment. It went out on the 15th.A impreza brake kit and rear rotors.I would be guessing that it will arrive to you on Monday(tommorow).
The package was shipped to
XXX
With Signature confirmation.

D: Dude wrote on 08-27-2002 07:47 PM:
....the Postal Service sure does suck!....
"You entered 2301 0370 0001 3772 4516

Here is what happened earlier:
* ACCEPTANCE, August 15, 2002, 2:10 pm, TOMS RIVER, NJ 08753"
...it took 5 days to get to the processing center, and they claim that the status is updated every evening, but there hasn't been an entry since the 20th!

N: True,They do suck in the area of tracking. But they will deliver everything in 1 piece.
Also,I think I may have put 2 sets of pads in the box.Consider them a free gift if I did.

D: Dude wrote on 08-30-2002 04:04 PM:
Finally got my package...However, I only received one DBA 2-piece rotor, one Wilwood caliper, and one bracket, no pads. Also, one of the rear rotors got kinda banged up on the way. What is this? the order from hell? First, it takes forever to get here, then it's missing half the stuff....>(

N: How is it possible that it is missing anything?
It was all in one box and if it opened then everything would have fallen out.

D: Dude wrote on 08-30-2002 06:26 PM:
No, the box did not open. I don't think that the other rotor and caliper, pads ever made it into the box. I'll take a picture of it tonight. If you don't have a widowed rotor and caliper laying around, my guess is that the mates to mine made into someone else's box. *sigh*

N: i dont have any extras here, but I do know that I put everything into that box.It can be verified by the weight of the box.
Not to mention that when i shipped your kit it was the only one that I had here so There was no other "boxes" that the parts could have gone into.
All 4 rotors were wrapped in bubblewrap.I specifically remember this.
I know what I shipped and the fact that you admit the package was not opened and that I can visually see that it was not ripped open means that it arrived the same as I sent it.
I shipped the item correctlyu and intact and with everything included.Like I said earlier,The shipping weight guarantees me that everything was in there.I just went and put the same exact setup on my Electronic shipping scale and the difference with 1 less rotor is very far off so that only confirms that the stuff was in the box.
I dont kn ow what you want me to do but I delivered as promised. You had said earlier that you only reacieved 1 rear rotor as well.
If you had a issue where perhaps something was damaged during assembly, shipping or such and event I would accomodate you.But in this event when I know what I shipped for a fact and I made sure when I sent the package as I always do when it travels a long distance that it was packaged to guarantee no damage, then there is nothing I can do.
Sorry

D: Dude wrote on 08-30-2002 10:59 PM:
I NEVER stated that I was missing a rear rotor, I said that one of the rear rotors was banged up. You are really starting to scare me Nino and I'm really starting to feel like I'm going to get screwed. How else can I prove that I did NOT get that rotor and caliper? I think I remember them weighing the package at the post office when I picked it up. Why don't you contact them and see for yourself how much it weighed?
The rotors were NOT wrapped in bubble wrap only the Wilwood caliper was. The rotors were "nested" into one another with only plastic separating them. In fact, if the rotors were all wrapped in bubble wrap, they probably would not have all fit in the box!

N: Dude,I am documenting this whole thing.
You said.
"I only recieved 1 caliper,1 front rotor and 1 rear rotor.
Not only did it take forever to get here btu I only got half my order!"
I remember packing the box.
I took a long piece of Bubblewrap.Placed it on the bottom then 1 rotor,Then wrapped the bubblewrap,Then the next rotor,The wrap again then another rotor,Then wrap and the last rotor. Then I took all the papaer crap and packed it in so they would not move.then I wrapped the calipers with bubblewrap and taped it so the wrap wouldn't come off.
come on man.I know what I shipped.
If you have a problem with a part just tell me and I'll take care of it,But I wont send out parts you already have.

**At this point, I had a phone conversation with Nino. I suggested that he check with the post office to see if the shipping weight and the receiving weight were different. It ended with his agreement to check with the post office about the discrepancy.

N: I got nowhere with the post office today. It was like talking to frankenstein. They had no clue what was going on.They seemed as if they diodn't ebven know where they worked.I will try to get some answers elsewhere in the ranks tomm.

D: Dude wrote on 09-04-2002 11:02 AM:
Thanks Nino,
I appreciate it.
I was thinking that I should probably mail you back the entire package in a larger box, bedded in some styro-nuts. That way, you can examine the package yourself. You may be able to find clues as to what happened.
Thanks again

N: I would actually prefer that you do not do that as there is no sense in wasting any money on shipping.
Dont even bother to waste the money of sending it back to me.Me looking at the box wont solve any issues.Ultimatly the only solution that can be had is going to come from the post office.

D: Dude wrote on 09-04-2002 11:31 AM:
Okay,
I'll await your instructions. thanks

N: I'm on the phone with them right now. They said there is no way to confirm the pick-up weight.I am on hold though.

D: Dude wrote on 09-04-2002 11:51 AM:
okay, here we go on the US government bureaucracy rollercoaster . Thanks for taking the time to deal with this crap Nino.

D: Dude wrote on 09-06-2002 04:58 PM:
any news?

N: Nothing.I will call again monday

D: Dude wrote on 09-09-2002 07:31 PM:
any developments?

N: Yet another brick wall again today.

D: Dude wrote on 09-11-2002 06:10 PM:
Nino,
Well, it doesn't look like anything is happening with this issue. I'll be mailing back the caliper and rotor that I have for a refund. I only ask that you split the cost of the missing caliper/rotor with me.
Do you require a Return Authorization #? Should I mail it back to the same address on the return label?
thank you,

N: They are sending me a form to fill out.I will not accept any packages for a refund and will not give any refund because you are not sending me the full order that I shipped.I still have doubts as to what may have happened to these pieces that you say were not in the box and I will not take the hit.
I am sorry.

D: Well, it looks like I've got no choice but to wait for what you get back after you turn in the form. Will there be a confirmation of the shipping and receiving weights? It greatly disappoints me that you still doubt my word. Instead of a customer and a vendor working together to find a solution to a common problem (which is what I'm used to), this has been reduced to a petty comparison between my word and yours. I have been treated very fairly by different i-club vendors up until now. I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of upgrades for my WRX - every single bit of it online. I have NEVER dealt with a vendor with such reluctance to help me with a problem; let alone imply that I was trying to cheat them.

I don't think you plan on following through at all. You have given me no reassurance. You have given me no options. I might as well have taken $1099.99 and flushed it down the toilet. Maybe I can make a very expensive wall clock out of the single caliper and rotor I received. You won't even take the rotor and caliper back if I paid for the shipping! Well, Nino, you screwed me, and you won. You have my money and I have a paperweight. I should have covered my bases. I should have gotten a written confirmation of the package weight right after I picked it up. Or maybe I wshould have opened up the package in front of the postal worker and videotaped it.

N: I did not screw you.

I packaged every single item that was on the order,Took extra care to use bubble wrap on all the components as I always do,Taped the box so it was completely sealed and then as I always do paid extra for sig confirmation and saved all the paperwork as well as the reciepts in my file.

You said the box was neither opened nor damaged at time of pick-up so that would mean that nothing fekll out,But you also said that there was no bubblewrap and that the stiuff didn't fit. That is incoerrect as I have sent several kits out in the same generic box as always and several have included rear rotors.I usually have to add extra packing material to make everything snug.In your case i used shreded paper.

In a attempt to try and help your situation I have contacted the post office and they said that they would call me .They called yesterday and said they would mail me a form.I agreed to take the form and fill in the description of the parts you said were missing and also if nessesary provide pictures.the only other effort I can make if this does not bring forward a solution is to sell the parts to you for absolute cost and have them shipped direct to you by the various manufacturers to save money.

I cannot accept a return for less merchandise than was delivered,No buisiness will do this.I have all the evidence I need to back up that I shipped everything.I am not in buisiness to rip people off,But I am also not in buisiness to give parts away.I'm sorry this happened this way.But I cannot control what happens once the parts are out of my hands.

D: Did you at least get the pictures I had sent to your AOL account when this all started? I had taken pictures from all sides of the box so that they could be submitted to the post office. I had initially sent them in the hope that you'd see clues that I may not have seen - especially since you packed the box yourself. But I got no reply, and assumed that my email was ignored. That's why I wanted to send the whole package back to you. If you need to me talk to the post office as well, please let me know.

Two painful things happened to me here. One: I felt like I threw my money away. Two: I feel accused of a crime that I did not commit. I hope that you can understand my feelings of desparation. You keep saying that once you ship it out, It's out of your hands; but I was given no choice as to how my package was to be shipped. In addition, in a past PM, you assured me the I would get everything in 'one piece'. That obviously did not happen. I understand that you have to protect yourself, but I feel like I went out on a limb and ordered something from a company that I knew almost nothing about, that was all the way accross the country and got left out in the cold when something went wrong.

Unless something is resolved at the post office, in the end you'll have my money, and I'll have nothing. You say it's not your fault, but it's not mine either. Why must I be the only victim in this case?

I'm sending everything back to you. If I can't get my money back, then at least I can clear my name.

N: I did look at the pictures that you sent me via PM,They were the same as the AOL pics.I responded to you accordingly.

I have no choice but to think the worst in a case like this,So if it is offesive to you I am sorry,But I have to protect myself and my buisiness.Had the package been damaged, opened or otherwise then the post office would have had a different reaction upon initial contact.

I will not accept any package returned and will not accept a return. You said you wanted to work something out.I offer to get you the "lost" pieces at a highly reduced cost and you refuse. There is nothing more I can do than that.

The reason I used USPS in this case was because the cost of the item was high and I wanted to be sure I had printed documentation of the package weight on the reciept,Also wanted to be sure it would be signed for because UPS sometimes leaves stuff without a signature.

Signature confirmation,Proof of the weight of the package.I am in the clear.I am taking the effort to find out what happened if anything did happen but I think that most anyone, not just vendors would be sceptical as to what may have happened here.

I can offer 1 option...

The parts you say are missing I will sell for cost and have them sent direct from the dist to you.

The cost would be 400 shipped for the parts.

Thumbs up

My wheels from the Volk group buy that Nino organized arrived over the weekend while I was out in Seattle. They look fantastic!

I have only positive things to say--prompt replies to PMs, very personable over the phone, handled all of my questions with ease. On top of that, the price on my wheels was outstanding!

The only minor blip was that the supplier of the wheels ended up shipping them to my old address (I moved in between the time the GB started and when delivery was made) instead of my work address which I had specified, precisely because I knew I would be moving. But my old roommate received them and held on to them for me, so no big deal.

I would not hesitate to do business with Nino again. Thumbs up!

BIG THUMBS UP!

I bought wheels from Nino a few months back. The wheels arrived sooner than I expected. One of the wheels arrived damaged (not his fault). Everything was taken care of quickly with no hassles or additional cost to me. I was expecting to have to jump through hoops.

Top notch vendor.

Excellent success with Nino's.

I ordered a number of suspension components which they gave an excellent price on(best I've seen anywhere), be sure to shoot them off an e-mail before you buy anything else, I'm sure they beat the best prices out there as long as you're buying mroe than one item.

One small problem with my order. I was missing a couple componenets. A quick e-mail verifies that one component was shipping seperately and that the other one must have been missed and was included with the second shipment.

Very quick to ship, very quick to respond to e-mails. No complaints whatsoever. I'll be back.

Thumbs up Ninos Auto Accesories, highly recommended

I PMed Nino monday night asking for a 4pt harness and he had one in stock, I paypaled him the money and I just got it today (wed).

Unlike most vendors Nino has a pretty good stock on most common parts.(parts I do plan to be buying soon)

and out of 4 vendors I have bought from, Nino was the best didnít screw me on price, shipping or make me wait 3 weeks for a product because it was claimed to be instock.

I strongly recommend Nino to everyone (tristste and elsewhere, but defiantly the best Tri State parts supplier)

I club user name: NinosAutoAccesories

I ordered a Cusco front sturt bar from Nino's and recieved it in a timely fashion. However something I feel compelled to mention is that although he responds to my emails, they are usually quick "one-liners". At one point, he responded "what product where you talking about again?" It got to the point where I felt as if he was just toying with me... First he would say he had the item, then the very next reply (only a few mins later) said they were all gone..

I have ordered many parts from many vendors and although sometimes responses take a bit time to get back to me, they usually offer enough information and thoroughness to show they've taken some time to respond and welcome my business. This is not the type of service I've received from Nino's. Not sure if anybody else shares these feelings, but I felt I should voice my opinion regarding NiniosAutoAccessories, and for that matter, I will not be ordering from him again.

cheers,

Victor

I ordered a set of sub-zeros from Nino's they were delivered in a timely fashion. I didn't like the lug nuts that I also ordered, called him up and he said send them back for a refund...no problem. Email responses have always been very quick...yes perhaps a little short but I have to believe the dude is super busy. I will order from them again...as a matter of fact I ordered some samco hoses today. Keep up the good work and prices.

curvie ; Dude,I'm sorry if I am not all that informative or responsive in emails. Its just a little tough for me because my memory is not all that good and if you dont have the email repeat the previous info then I immediatly forget what we ewere discussing.

I prefer discussing orders over the phone because it gives me the chance to personalize the experience and make it easier on you to order products and get all the info you need.

Via em,ail its tough.I see nearly 50 emails per hour right now and am only 1 guy to handle them as well as every other aspect of my buisiness.I never expected to grow so fast and I know that is no excuse because at this pouint I should hire help,But I want to keep overhead down to save you guys money.

If there is anything I can do to make the lack of service I provided to you up and maybe rectify the situation please feel free tyo call me at 732-557-0491.I'm sure I can make you feel better about dealing with Nino's.

Also,About my 1 line replies...

I was never much of a typer so I try to avoid it as much as possible.

Nino's,

Thank you for the response. I do appreciate what your trying to do and I completely understand the situation. 50 emails every hour is a lot, so don't worry about it. I just became agitated after awhile... I wanted to order the kyokugen lugs or key... One minute they were in stock, the next minute, gone. Became frustrating for me... As i've been unable to work on my suspension due to several stripped lug nuts. (was going on a trip this weekend) No worries though. Again, I appreciate your response and I do wish you the best of luck with your business. (I would however hire a few people... might cost more now, but i'm sure it'll pay off.. seeing as your growing quite rapidly)

cheers,

Victor

whenever i email any vendor, i always include past emails just for easy reference. i'm not a vendor and a bunch of times people email me with questions and it's hard to keep track of everything. nino's been very helpful for me, i've ordered gauges, camber bolts, etc from him and have had nothing but excellent service. hope you find a decent place to open up your showroom man!

Thanks! Great job getting my son's exhaust and coming to my rescue on the decals. You're accurate, helpful and do what you say you will. From one businessman to another I appreciate it.

Ill give Nino thumbs up myself.. I had my wheels the next day! Only problem I had was from Rota and not Nino. So I will order from him again without thinkin twice about it. Sometimes 1 line replies are best..they skip the BS and get to the point. Thats what I like about him. And anyone who replies as fast as he does.. Thats good for me.

Rich

I said ship the BS intsead of skip. Oops. Dont drink and post people.
