Default Need comp clutch 240 mm twin disk review.

Deciding between their organic or ceramic 240 mm twin disk.

Any feedback on these clutches would be great!

Thanks.

Daily driver.

600 whp.

Im tired of burning up clutches.

If the ceramic is a little harder to drive, but will last 2x as long and to a-lot more abuse, i would rather go that route.

Have you ever had one of the comp clutch “mpc” 240 mm twins?

Can't say I have, but clutch function and operation are basically all the same. What it comes down to is what torque the pressure plate can clamp the friction disk and hold on tight and a lot of how long a clutch lasts can depend on how you operate the clutch.

Yes, an organic clutch may be nicer to daily, but I've had Cerametallic clutches on a daily and once you kinda find the sweet spot, they aren't as bad as some people may claim. Although, amount of power can play a role in that too.

Ceramic can take more of a beating provided you aren't always dragging/slipping the clutch with high RPM's. People who rev to like 3,000 RPM and let the clutch out slowly from every stop should be restricted to automatics, imo, unless you have a severe engine deficiency and need to give 'er all she's got. Anyways, that's off topic....point is, if you end up switching to a "tougher clutch" and still are burning through em, you may need to rethink how you're operating the clutch and engine. I've seen and heard of stock WRX clutches holding on for a very long time at 350+hp. Food for thought is all. Not making any accusations.

Currently on an act-hdss.

Hated it since day one.

Currently warped?, not disengaging And not allowing me to switch gears smoothly. Chatters with the clutch pedal not pressed. Ect.

Things been rough from the start.

Ive been talking with jeremy from out-front motorsports, and he seems to swear by the comp twins, even the ceramic for a daily driver he says wouldn’t be bad.

Im just looking for some reviews about this specific clutch (preferably the ceramic) to ease my mind about the purchase.

Or somebodies personal experience to sway me away from the ceramic and go with the organic.
