I went there for an oil change a few weeks ago. I just moved into a new place so I don't have a jack or any tools, which is why I took it to a shop to get it done. I brought my own oil and filter and they charge me $25 for labor, not bad. Their labor rates are $95 an hour which is actually on the low side compared to some other shops out there. I was really surprised that it was that low considering how big of a name they are.

I asked about tuning and they quoted me I believe $400 or $450. Sounds about the normal price for a protune but I was wondering if anyone here had personal experience with any of the tuners over at Cobb SoCal. Here in SoCal there's no shortage of tuners to go to but Cobb is the closest and most convenient for me so just wanted to check with you guys.
They installed all my parts on my second STI but I got mine tuned at Yimi instead. While Cobb is a decent shop for tuning, I believe if you do research here (and the whole internet) there are likely 2-3 other tuners people would recommend first.

Fantastic customer service, I had a few questions about readings and taking live date from my AP and the staff was very helpful and got me what I needed to know.

I would say Cobb Socal/Antspec is top notch when it comes to aftermarket installation. They take their sweet time working on your car to ensure everything is installed properly. One of the nicest facility I've seen.

I do not recommend Yimisport for installs. They work on your car so fast, they don't double check if its properly done right. I had a bad experience with them, not to mention there is literally no parking there since their garage is connect to all these other auto shops. I did not like the black guy that works there.

I have not done tunning at either place, but I would give Cobb a first look if I did, just because their staff was so nice to me and got a discount from them.
