04 AP work on my 05?

I tried searching and couldn't come up with anything, so I have to ask...

Will an 04 V1 Accessport work on my 05 WRX? If not, can it be made to work?

It seems like it would work... Cobb has them listed on their site for the '02-'05 as one part number, and then the '06-'07 as another part number.

04/05 will interchange. You can always email COBB they will answer you. If you are buying a used AP I would tell the seller to take a pic of the screen that shows "Unmarried" with a 4X8 card with todays date on it. Too many scammers out here selling AP's that are married making it useless to the new buyer. You can almost buy a new V2 for the same price it will cost you to send the married AP to Cobb to have them straighten it out.

Good luck, and like I said it will work for 04/05 no problem.

I thought the 02/03 ones wouldn't work on the 04/05 and vice versa.

There is a difference between the two (software wise) but you can upgrade the AP to work for your 05. Check Cobb's site on how to do this or you can send it to them to perform the upgrade. Its pretty simple if you follow the instruction to the teeth...

The question was would an 04/ 05 interchange and the answer is yes.

An 02/03 WILL NOT work on an 04/05 unless Cobb reprograms it.
