Anyone else take off their front plate?
I've never been too partial about running a front plate. My other cars just looked more smooth without them, more clean, so I always took them off.
But Subaru HAD to put a raised surface on the front bumper to ruin this. I took off the front plate, thinking I could just get the holes filled and *bam*, ugly protusion sticking out of the front bumper. Grrr....any idea on how much it would cost to get something like this sanded down and smoothed over? If its too much I'll just bite it in the ass and run the plate.

It would probably be easier to get a whole new front clip. If you tried to sand it down, there might not be anything left.

I haven't taken mine off. It doesn't bother me that much. Especially since I now have my "WALLY" plates on
I do agree, though, that if the bumper wasn't designed the way it is that going plateless at the front would be prefereable. Anyway, I invite too much attention from any coppers as it is.....I don't need to give them any more reasons to pull me over. I think doing 100 down the NSH is enough. |

i was thinking about getting those suction cup things to hold them to the windshield. maybe i'll just put the front plate on where it belongs, the cop said i'd get a ticket if he caught me again.

What's sticking out the front bumper? I thought there were holes and that's it.

There is a raised flat surface on the front of the bumper to mount the plate to.
I will always run my front plate for the same reason as Sir Wally. I do not want to give the cops another reason to pull me over, then notice my tint, then my exhaust....etc, etc. Kris |

I have not put one on yet, but have a few that I am choosing between. I will have one on by the time the roads are good again. Not exactly sure what it will be, but I will have something even if it a Folgers can painted yellow.
