Default My new 107hp toy.. short Video inside

Here's my new 107hp 01' Honda CBR F4i..

Just started learning to ride not too long ago..

Here's a short video of me riding.. actually the video footage was only the second time that I've reached 100km/h (62mph).. not bad when yesterday was only my first time going over 60km/h (38mph)!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uewxz...Fuid%3D3138599

can't see anything in the video.. but I think the sound alone is well worth watching.. Hope you guys would like it..

that's a lot of bike for a new rider. be sure to take the motorcycle safety course if you haven't already.

good starter bike. I have had mine for 3 years now and still love it. I have a few mods and it is quick enough for me.

My boss who weighs about 280 has a Hyabusa. He REGULARLY takes it above 150 on the highways around here. It's scary that you can go from 0-155 to 80 or 60 in just a few seconds, even if you are a big guy.

Stop riding when you aren't scared any more.

f4i's are decent starter bikes in my mind. Some reason they are then torn into stunt bikes though... dont be a squid!

If you just got on a bike for the first time how can you have a motorcycle license?

You know you need a seperate license to drive that I assume?

Last year my step mom was hit on her bike by a drunk teenager who crosed the center line. Even though she had been working all night as a nurse and it was 3:00 in the morning, she took the time to put on her leathers, helmet and gloves just like always. It saved her life.

38mph one day, 62mph the next... at that rate, in 4 days he should be going 158mph.

nice bike btw, how much did you get it for?

It scares me when people say a 600 supersport makes a good starter bike

It's like sticking a 16 year old (or a comedian, ha ha) in an Enzo and saying "ok, figure it out". That's a recipe for disaster.

I've had my '01 F4i since, well, '01 and it's way too much for a beginner on the street. If people think a 600 isn't that fast or only a "real man" rides a liter bike, they just aren't riding the bike like it was meant to be ridden. I've taken mine to a lot of trackdays and just pushing it to 75***37; on the street around a corner and rolling on the throttle short shifting it puts you WAY over the speed limit very quickly.

Just be careful and make sure you take that MSF class right away. Every motorcycle rider will crash eventually when you are least expecting it, so be prepared (ie. shorts, sandals, tank top, no helmet = darwin filter).

And take it to a trackday once you get comfortable and want to really go fast. It's safer and much more fun.
