My 2003 LS-2 Swapped Wrx
This is what I've been working on. now dont get me wrong because I love subarus. I just got a wild hair up my a$$ and started this. please hold all negative comments as I don't want to hear them.
The mods are a mildy built 6.0 liter engine with a 400 turbo transmission. Yes the rear end is stock and yes I have broken one before. But this car will never see the track so. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.

Interesting. My current build is my first Subaru; all of my other cars and builds have been V8 including a couple of LS swaps (plus one V10 car and a couple of S2000's thrown in).
That 6.0 is a great engine and will certainly get some strange looks when they hear that rumble. |

Haha frigging brilliant!! Love it! I was shocked the other day when a rusty ford ranger pulled up to the pump and it sounded exactly the same as the built 383 stroker in my truck. Under the hood they were the same! I can't imagine the pull of that package! And the shock of opening the hood. Very good.

loving it. I am also looking for a 6.0l for my 94 camaro. How much did you pay for the motor.

Well at least you ruined the ugliest Subaru ever made. Cant wait to see how those tiny rear tires hook up with a 450lb boat anchor hanging mostly ahead of the front axle. A nice 5 inch cowl should take care of the hole in your hood. I will give you creds for the fab work, this is the closest to complete v8 swap I have seen in a suby.

The motor is completely balanced on the crossmember. I placed it forward to to keep the wait transfer down right off the line. Yes that's what you want in a rear wheel drive car. But this car is going to be a street queen. It will never see the track. The car isn't that ugly. I would love to put an 06 front end on it. Also there is a running 6.0 liter Wrx in Memphis. Is fab work is terrible though. He complete cut the entire center out of his crossmember and put no support back into it. Its clean and runs. But not stable. But on the other hand he could say the same thing about my setup. Either way it's a task doing this. Nothing is easy. I have 4500 in this build, the motor cost 600 but isn't stock. |

That's very impressive - especially those mounts. I have no idea how you lined it up so well. Nasty.

So is that an LQ4 or LQ9 engine?...I ask as I see it's an iron block.
Fun project. Any plans to duct and intake or just leaving open TB and chopped hood? |
