Are there any AWD dynos for hourly rent in the area? Looking to learn the ropes of dyno tuning. Talked to a few shops. One says they can maybe do hourly if they're not booked, another said probably not...

Road tuned many'a car at this point, just haven't really needed to tune for peak power before. With my most recent build I figured I could give it a shot.

Not looking for anyone to hold my hand, but would be nice if I could get the pros to help me on my way. Willing to pay too.

Looks like this thread is a bit dead.

It's been in my head to give an attempt to restart the monthly Quaker Steak and Lube meets this year and turns out the Robinson location we used closed within the last 3 months or so.

If any of you don't know, we've been having a monthly meet at the West Mifflin Buffalo Wild Wings [9996 Mountain View Dr, West Mifflin, PA 15122] for the last 10 years or so.

Attendance has been dwindling, probably because we don't promote it much. Typically happens on the third Thursday of the month.

Hope we see some new (and old) faces.

Where would the new spot be? There's a couple Subaru guys following me on IG, maybe I can help spread the word. There's a new Primanti right by my house in Bridgeville

We're probably looking at keeping the BWW location for now. Robinson seemed to work well because it was a middle point for people coming from the north and south. That's one of the issue we have now - we only get South Hills people right now and alienate the northerners.

Doesn't help it's the middle of winter either

OR....Yinz Yinzers could come hang out with all the cool kids once a month in Wampum PA.
Oh and put yer cars on a Road Course if yer Man Enuff

https://www.tracknightinamerica.com/...l-race-complex

No but seriously...anyone interested in getting on to a track for a reasonable price should check out this event even if just once. The 2023 schedule should be dropping soon so keep an eye out...my guess is the first event will be in April.

Last time I tried to go, I threw a rod on 79. Was out $160. I love TNIA but it's hard for me to go being as weather dependant as I am

I totally get that about the weather and do understand your situation is unique.
But If its raining in Wampum, there is a good chance its raining in Robinson and or West Mifflin so you probably aren't hanging at any of those meetups either.

TNiA has become a blend of car show/meetup and track event. Its free to get on the facility and just hang out..if you can get a group of people with cars looking for a meetup spot its not a bad option...sans the bar and restaurant.

Regarding your last experience...you should Never actually lose the value of your registration.
We have worked with multiple participants to issue a credit, and in some cases pro-rated credits to participants who have unexpected issues arise while in session.
If you ever register and have a problem getting to the track simply email Jack Track and you will have a credit waiting for you to use at another event.

Let me know and I can probably help you out this coming season as well with at least a discount of some sort.

Not sure if anyone who posts here these days remembers Shake Shinde, (Screen name MRF582 on NASIOC) but he passed away a few days back. He was a regular in the Pittsburgh Subaru scene for a long time and he will be missed.

Thats sad to hear. I remember him, he was also one of the opensource greats that helped pave the way for tuning Subaru's and BMW's.

Hey friends,

After a decade I'm back driving a Subaru again. Probably the blandest and easiest to overlook model/color combo. Be sure to not notice me if you don't see me driving past in a line of 30 of them.

Not even two weeks and someone just hit my new Impreza because they were looking right instead of forward when they decided it was go time from a side street.

I wish Subaru still did an event for PVGP like they used to do pre-covid. I had a good time doing the parade lap into Schenley from the strip.
