Phillips bi-xenon hid Kit
Hi, i was looking into getting some hids for my car and i was wondering if anyone has experience with the phillips bi-xenon 9007 kit. The kit i'm talking about is on this page: http://www.brightheadlights-hid.com/hid-9007.htm
and i'm thinking of getting it and putting it into my stock headlights. If anyone has pictures of their hids kits installed on their car please post it if you have the time as i will appreciate it alot. Just trying to get some more ideas on the hid kits before spending 4-500 dollars and regret it. Thanks a lot

Search this forum for pictures -- there are tonnes.
Installing HID in stock reflector housings is not recommended. The stock housing is optimized for halogen bulbs of much lower light output. Your beam pattern will be lousy to begin with, and there will be so much glare to oncoming traffic that you will also have to lower the beams considerably. There are many threads on the other options you have if you want HIDs (i.e. retrofit projectors, Morettes, etc.). Search around. |

damn, that's an expensive HID kit. although it does keep high & low beams which is good.
i'm using the brighstar HID kit which doesn't have hi beams but it's PLENTY bright. i don't even use my fogs anymore. |
