Broken nipple on td04 outlet
I just got this turbo from another member on here and the nipple for the vac line on the compressor housing was smashed to hell during shipping. Can this nipple be replaced easily? And how do I go about doing that?
It really sucks because I bought this to replace a broken turbo... Now I have 2 broken ones... Here are pics of the nipple I'm talking about: Any fixes are welcome. I just don't want to have to shell out a bunch of money again... Thanks, Alex

Bend that b**ch back! Get a hose, attach it, blow through it. If ya feel it come out the other side with the relative force ya blew with (no restriction) then slap it on!

I tried bending it already and it cracked. I have a tap set, however I don't have a drill to drill it out... Any thought on how much it would cost to take it to a machine shop or something to get fixed?

get a drill at walmart, hold on to the receipt and return it when you're done.

For those who have drilled and tapped it, what size barb fitting did you get? I went to Home depot, but couldn't find barb fitting small enough for turbo.

Just swap the housing from your old turbo onto this one, too bad you'll loose the awesome red paint......

atm0706, any reason why you went with 3/16"? Isn't 1/16" be closer to OEM size?

I would n't worry about the size to much. As long as the vacuum line will fit on it. Stock will have the restrictor pill anyways and if using silicone hose the ID of the hose will act as the main oriffice.

The 3/16 x 1/8npt fitting worked perfect for me. that's what I would buy if I had to do it again
