Something I want to do when I have kids...

Take a picture of your wife with your son/daughter every year on Mothers Day. Save the pictures year after year, and on the first mothers day when your son/daughter leaves home when they're older, and they dont live with you, give her the book with all the pictures from the first mothers day, until that date... Try to keep it a secret along the way...

I know that a LONG ways out, but the benifit of planning something like this now, is SO worth it in the long run...

I am buying some clear 6" heels off of Ebay so that my MILF can wear them in the kitchen while she makes me a sammich. She's been good to me this year, so I tend to spoil her...

Even though I'm not a mom, I know that since this is her first mother's day, she's probably exhausted with the tasks involved with caring for a baby. Why don't you give her some time to herself to relax by sending her to a local salon/spa. A nice massage, manicure, and getting her hair done will probably feel great after not having much if any time to worry about herself over the past few months. If a spa is too pricey, have the grandparents take the baby for the evening, and treat her to a nice dinner (maybe one you cooked), light some candles, and give her a full body massage yourself. I'm sure your wife will appreciate either or both of these options! As a woman, I know I would!

Get a mold of your kid's hands/feet. Or, this year i went to a pottery place and had my kids' handprints made into angels and put on a plate. Took about thirty minutes, but on Mother's Day, daddy will surely be getting his own present.
