Default IXIZ Clutch Stopper

This is a quick review on the clutch stopper for my 2011 WRX I purchased from IXIZ (http://www.ixizconcept.com/). Apparently this clutch stopper is compatible with all generations of WRX/STI's.

The package is really just a bunch of washers, locking nut, and threaded bolt. You can really just DIY it yourself for a few dollars at a hardware store but I wanted to support the company as well as having the added convenience of everything already assembled.

The install is fairly straightforward. You just thread the nut onto the bolt, feed it behind the small hole on the metal bracket the clutch pedal hits, place some washers on the threads (amount varies by car), and then thread on the larger main bolt.

I ended up using 2 stacked washers and the clutch has a few cm's of travel before it engages now. I'll probably throw on another washer but driving around feel noticeably easier to get going from a stop. I can also engage all my gears without a problem.

One thing to note is that I was not able to start my car with the clutch pressed all the way to the floor with the clutch assist installed. To solve this issue, I bypassed the clutch safety switch. To do this, I disconnected the switch, connected 2 male spade connectors together with a piece of wire, and plugged it back into the switch. I was then able to start the car without pressing in the clutch. Here's a video demonstrating how to do this (

Overall I'm super happy with my purchase.
