not today, but had tint film installed on Friday (20%, 35%). Received speed aero rear diffuser, rally innovations front splitter, and '14 STI BBS wheels that I'm (anxiously) waiting to install. Ignore the in-progress puzzle in the background, ha

Angry Intake manifold

I was gonna clean my intake manifold and swap the gaskets... Then I found oil leaking out of the oil pressure sensors, then dipstick, and some white corrosive stuff all over the valve cover and corroding my #2 spark plug wire.

So then instead I ordered a new sensor, valve cover gaskets, VVT solenoid (because the corrosion is all over that too), dipstick gasket and some other stuff.

I just wanna know what this stuff is corroding everything.

Going to take my STI out for a nice drive later this morning.. it's been raining and roads are wet and I don't feel like washing my car after the drive so waiting for the roads to dry up.

I need the car to be as dry as possible considering she will be placed in hibernation until Spring after today. I usually don't put away my STI during winter and drive on nice dry days, but this year I've only put less than 200 miles on my WRX, due to 'work from home', so I want to start driving that car for fun through winter this year.

In addition, I have 2 other hobby cars I want to use up the fuel and hibernate before forecasted snow.. I'm glad I've been using stabilizers in my fuel during each fill up this year as milage is super low and knowing my fuel won't spoil in the tank brings comfort.

I do that with my sti in the summer time and weekends. Haven’t done a winter in a while in sti but do miss it with the Dccd control. Plus on the use of fuel stabilizers.

Yeah, does makes sense to drive the AWD in the winter time for sure.

So I got my STI's insurance suspended this morning.. I cleaned her up real nice yesterday after the drive, over inflated the tires and placed on Flatstoppers, battery manager as usual. New fuel with stabilizer in the tank. She's all set.

Will do the same on 2 other cars and then time to pull out my WRX.

Installed Megan racing Front/rear strut bars in my 02wrx wagon. 150$ for the set.

I have a Aluminum rad from them I installed last year, and the Quality is top notch, so I opted to get their strut bars. Happy with the product.

After scheduling with my usual shop to spray on some clear early next month, I waxed the trunk to protect it in the meantime.

A few pinholes in the gel coat were filled in and I’m really glad I did it.

^ That's going to look real nice with the clear. The wax gives a nice representation. GL with the paint shop.

For the pin holes did you use UV resin?

Yeah, I was impressed when I finished. About the pinholes, just wax filled them in.
My shop will take care of those when doing the clear.

Remade this rod so I don’t have to cut the new trunk.

^ Thats cool. I have a home made coat hanger tool in my tool case for snaking wires. It's actually quite excellent.

Not today, but I sold the subie a few months ago. So...if you bought a 2020 WRX MGM with the performance package from carvana, that may be my old car!

I decided I'd waste my monies on headers, but I feel like after wrapping thess( never done it before) and seeing the fitment. I might need to get more money for an angle grinder and cut this U frame.
