![]() Soooo long story short, I got about 3k miles on this set up and made 530whp/550tq on e85 (actual e70). Then I blew head gaskets on both sides. Not quite sure what happened but turned into a complete tear down of IAG stage 2.5 block. Bearings showed abnormal wear blah blah blah. Not important.
I kinda want to hit the 600whp club. But this was a purpose built street car. I wanted boost to kick in asap, and I did everything I could to make that happen. So I'm thinking about going with a FP Red to get me there as the green is maxed out for sure. Current build: IAG Stage 2.5 Closed Deck B25 heads - Full PnP, GSC S2 272 Cams, GSC STD Valves, GSC P-D Dual Springs, Titanium Retainers, Bronze Guides - ARP 625+ HeadStuds OEM Headgaskets 12mm JDM Oil Pump JDM Hi-Flow 2 Port Water Pump Oil Heater Delete Killer B Ultimate Oil Pan, Baffle & Pick Up Haltech Elite 2500 ECU with Boomslang Harness Haltech Canbus Wideband Controller Haltech 12 I/O Expander Flexfuel/Speed Density Bolt Ons: FP Green HTZ Turbine Coated with 84mm Inlet Torque Solutions AVCS/Turbo SS Braided Oil Feed Line Id1700x Injectors Outfront Rails with Socketless -6AN Lines Turbosmart FPR /wAEM Fuel Pressure Sensor Fuel Labs 6 Micro Filter DW400 Fuel Pump Hardwired NGK Iridium IX 1 Step Colder .022-.024 Gap LFR7AIX Killer B Holy Headers Swaintech Coated 38mm Tial MV-S Wastegate (17.40 PSI Black, Blue) IAG v2 TGV Deletes with 19MM KSTech Phenolic Spacers IAG V3 Street AOS COBB 4 Bar MAP Chevy OEM 3 Port EBCS Treadstone 600hp FMIC /w Reverse Intake Manifold Rife IAT Sensor SYLTECH - 1/8***8243; MSCS Pressure Temp Combo Sensor Tial Q BOV 11lb spring Getadom Cyl 4 Cooling Mod Cobb CAI system Cobb Catless 3" Stainless Turbo Back Mishimoto Radiator Evil Energy Coolant Reservoir Aluminati Coolant Expansion Tank MOTUL Synergie 10w-40 Subaru Blue Super Coolant Now, everything is going to remain the same except the following: Pinned mains, ARP case/main bolts (so deck will be shaved a bit) Shaved heads (just a little) IAG Cooper Ring Head Gaskets (.051" thickness vs .058" OEM) GSC +1 Intake Valves, GSC +1 Super Alloy Valves FluidAmpr 531101 Crank Pulley So my compression is going to get a bump and my airflow is going to get a bit of a bump due to bigger Valves. Now, I think FP red will get me to 600whp. But my worry is how high my power band will move. As the purpose is a street car.... if it moves too high, then I'm going to stick with fp green and say oh well. I just don't think I can get anymore power out of the fp green. Opinions? ![]() ![]() |

![]() What about the BCP500r? I don't think buying a red will be worth it until they put the UHF turbine in it.

![]() I haven't considered that turbo. I'm going to call them later. Their graph looks about the same as my fp green except it doesn't drop off as significantly torque wise.

![]() Have you given any thought to the fp black? It will get you there without too much trouble. I have a ball bearing black and I get 36psi by about 4800rpm.
