2003 WRB WRX Lots of mods 107K Miles - Asking $6,500
Location: Southern California, Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley/Antelope Valley

Perfect for a big turbo upgrade or Auto-x/Track car.

Why am I selling such an awesome car? I now have a young family and have moved on with focus and don't have the desire or time to spend on the WRX anymore. Also I just purchased a school bus that is going to be the new time suck.










- General Condition
- Overall paint is great and vibrant WRB as the car was garaged most of its life. Paint is weathered slightly in minor places and a ding here or there as to be expected from a road driven car with 100K on the clock.
- Interior is in great condition, some wear on the removable rugs but mostly in great shape.
- Engine in great shape and in a perfect state for a big turbo upgrade as all supporting upgrades are done to include not installed Deatschwerks injectors.
- Car drives and rides great, its a bit harsh due to all the suspension mods and its loud and rattely inside due to stiffness.
- Minor Accident Disclosure
- Fall of 2018 I had a front Goodrich brake line blow. It was wearing up against the fender wall and slowly rubbed an abrasion into the weave that then weakened the line causing catastrophic loss of pressure. Under conditions with time to act you still have residual pressure to the remaining brakes and even though pedal feel goes to the floor you are able to safely slow down. Unfortunately for me it happened at aprox 15mph coming up to a stop. I was unable to recognize the issue and rear ended a Corola in front of me at aprox 10mph. The front grill and hood took all of the force as the bumper was a little lower due to the Prodrive springs. The hood folded and the grill was destroyed. I had a body shop paint a new hood and repair any radiator/condenser mounts and spot weld in place. No bumper damage minus some rub rash that was repaired and painted. No frame damage, in fact the Rally Armor skid plate didn't even budge and is still easily removable and installable. No radiator damage no AC condenser damage or leakage. The brake lines were replaced with another set of Goodrich stainless and properly routed to preclude the issue from future occurrence. ATE Super Blue was bleed into the system. The upper radiator hose was replaced after being gouged by the fan. Alignment was checked after the accident and was not impacted.
- Important Items to Know
- Car is well outside emissions compliant in California, would take a lot of work/parts to make compliant. This will ether need to be a dedicated track car, or taken out of state, or do that thing you do, none of my business.
- RE-01R tires on the Prodrive wheels are basically end of life, no belt showing yet but will be soon, plan accordingly. Roll on the stock wheels and all seasons with no worry.
- Compustar alarm is a pain in my ass, it drains the battery when the car is not driven after a week or so, the one touch window actuators are constantly giving me issue (note the physical buttons always seem to work at each location)
- I've had to occasionally cut my own exhaust gaskets which is usual with usage
- Cannot order stock brake pads/rotors due to the modifications noted above
- Cannot order stock front axle shafts due to lower profile boot requirement and JDM transmission axle plates
- Cannot order stock drive shaft due to JDM 6 speed swap
- Takes slightly different engine oil amount due to upgraded pan
- I've managed to lose a number of keys over the year so all i have now is the valet key and keyless fob that doesn't open the trunk. Can easily order new keys with VIN from dealer. Key is not chipped so low cost.
- No spare, the battery box takes up the spare location and I rid myself of the spare years ago, have a roadside plan.
- Front grill is entirely missing, had a OEM JDM grill that was damaged to the noticed front end collision.
- Due to the 6 speed gearing you'll be riding higher in the RPM at 80mph but will be in the power band. Expect more engine noise and decreased fuel economy due to this.
- I recently vacuumed and charged the AC and may have over pressurized it, I am working on resolving this but cant promise it will be done before this sells. Feel free to ask what state its in.

- D770 Pads due to rear H6 bracket.
- Order 2000-2004 Outback w/H-6 motor rear rotors. (290x10mm)
- Goodrich Stainless front and rear brake lines (just replaced the two front ones as noted below)
- ATE Super Blue (Current fluid) and Motul RBF 600 cycled
- Master Cyl Brace installed
- Drive Train

- JDM v8 STi 6 speed (Surtrac front diff)
- Do not have DCCD computer/sensors
- Front axles are male type, transmission has had bearing cups replaced with proper oil seals for male type front axles.
- Rear R160 Ring and Pinion to match 6 speed (3.9 Final Drive)
- Drive shaft to match 6 speed (iirc its a 02 WRX 4EAT auto drive shaft)
- Custom front axle boots for clearance with strut housing drop extensions (Driveshaftshop Item 216-4 Outer CV Boot Kit for OEM WRX Front Axle)
- Kartboy Shift Bushings
- Engine Related
- Regular 3,000-5,000 mile oil changes and fairly regular Blackstone oil analysis that shows no issues.
- Rotella T6 Oil used the past 10 years or so
- Regularly compression checked no issues
