Correction. The color on the SG5 Foresters is actually Cayenne Red, and a completely different paint code.

Well Im going to be bad and cross post some stuff I posted in another thread. Hopefully the Mods dont get too mad at me "Sorry"

Nothing nice. I really need to have a local take some snaps. Any heres some uber HD pics from my phone. haha It was warm yesterday, in the 40s. I figured I take the chance to clean the salt off. today its back in the 20s and snows dropping at least 1 inch a hour.

Heres a few pics of my winter setup.

The three whit zipties are killing me in this pic. I didnt have black one or my flush cutters with me at a friends so i left them long so i could nip them off clean. Need to buy more good quality black zipties. I cant wait to throw my GrimmSpeed TMIC and splitter on. very soon. I just want to have my jdm scoop painted first so I can put the splitter on at the same time.

Ian,

This is the New SteamSpeed prototype turbo that will be released soon. Ive been doing some testing for them and have been running it with out a PnP job.

All Port and Polish work is done by me.

Garrett/Mitsubishi hybrid consisting of..

STX 67
- Garrett Billet GTX2867R Compressor wheel thats brated at 47lbs/min
- STI stock style compressor housing
- MHI style journal bearing center section made by Kinugawa/Kamak with upgraded high performance bearings.
- STS TD05H 9-blade turbine made from Inconel
- 8 cm^2 hotside
-Billet adjustable wastegate. comes with 1bar "14psi" spring but can be swapped for what ever. "Now Im running the EWG setup"

Installing New Invidia race Equal Length Headers, I had GrimmSpeed Ceramic coat them. Bolted to a coated GrimmSpeed 44mm ewg uppipe with the new TurboSmart 45mm ewg. This new gate is so much smaller then the og tial 44mm I have on my wrx. Also much smaller the the newer Tial 38 and 44mm gates. This header and uppipe set up replaced a old APS twinscroll EL header to a merged single scroll uppipe.

All Motor work, tuning, suspension/drivetrain,subframes etc was done by me late night after Im done with work.

I know these arent great pics but pics non the less.

Ian,

Nice work here.

I temporarily had a Tomei EL header setup for my FXT, but never installed it due to needing the STi oil pan, etc. Any fitment issues with the Invidia?

Thanks, I swapped on a 06 sti oil pan I had laying around I had on the wrx for a while. Used that with the KillerB oil pickup and KillerB baffle when I put this motor together. I dont know of any true equal length header that you can use with the usdm 02-05 2.0 wrx or 04-05 fxt. Maybe 06fxt too I cant remember from the last time I saw one. Witht the sti style oil pan I had no fitment issues with the APS or the Invidia headers.

The change in FXT oil pans happened in 2006. The 06 got EJ255 like the WRX including the STI oil pan that's compatible with the ELH's.

Looks good Ian! How's that EWG exhaust coming along, still gonna use the ST muffler?

Anodization was $100. New billet recirculating BOV, removal and custom fabricated CAI + enclosure (& removal of the Cobb CAI and box), custom piping, & intercooler was $1600 (installed). It's getting tuned now, along with a 4 bar map sensor ( additional costs )
