next gen crosstrek concept? Maybe they're going to make the impreza the also-ran, instead of the other way around?

I think this is a sub-Crosstrek model akin to Juke. Subaru’s STEP mid-term management plan calls for a new global SUV model around 2023-24 and a new hybrid electric around the same time. This could potentially be either one, IMHO.

I do kind of like the rear window area.
My exact thoughts

Why don't they just go ahead and make the whole exterior out of plastic?

I'm waiting for a car that's all thick AF rubber exterior. Subaru could do it! Now's the time!

I just dropped a K&N filter in my Impreza. I don't think I can handle the extra juice. Might have to go back to stock.

The adrenaline comes when you crash it and you are locked in while its on fire and the First Responders cant open the flush door handles.

Presumably on fire because of all the batteries taking up cargo AND passenger volume? I hadn't thought of that, but Subaru could do a lifted, EV, 2-seater coupe. Luggage goes up in the front boot. Roof rack up top holds more cargo. Everything behind the driver and front passenger is just a big ass battery. GENIUS!

Alright people, you all need to stop picking on this lil’ guy.

(It’s okay, Adreni, they just don’t understand you. In fact, none of us do because your parent has told us nothing about you.)

“We hadn’t even thought of that and we have no plans at this time to ponder such a departure from the WRX. Sedans are more defined in the WRX segment.”
