Post Primitive Racing still looking for help at Cherokee Trails

Since this is the South East forum, and the race is in TN, I thought it might be appropriate to post this message I got from the Minnesota Subaru group. I'm driving on Wednesday the 14th from Tampa and returning on Saturday evening if anyone wants a ride!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have 2 people signed up to help with service at this awesome, 3-day
event:
Van driver: R.Dale Kraushaar (you may remember him as Rod Millen's
Championship Co-Driver) and Neal Tovsen (rally enthusiast)

I also have Scott Putnam from www.subaru.net flying in to take streaming
video and record the event for Morrie's Subaru.

I really need another person or two to help with servicing (either 1, 2
or
all 3 days). All that is required is rally enthusiasm and an eagerness
to
help. No rally or mechanical skills required, but certainly helpful. I
would provide transportation in the jump seat in the service van and a
hotel
room each night and a per diem for food, gummy bears, or whatever. I
keep
the ice chest stocked during the event for snacks etc. We have R.Dale
and
check lists to let you know your specific tasks (tire changing or
refueling
etc). The Subaru USX rarely breaks...

It's a great way to "see" the rally from an insider's point of view and
you
will get a closeup of all the cars as they drag into service...

Direct any questions to me at: [email protected]

Thank you and GO SUBARU!

Becky and I will be in Virginia visiting family. If we weren't, I'd drag her up there.

I can help for services. I'll be there all three days of rally running. I've offered my services to both the event organizers and another rally team, but nobody's contacted me. I can turn a wrench, and can be at the Whitewater Center for every service, but I'll be camping at the Parksville Lake campground at the intersection of US 64 and TN 30.

Ross,

If you are still interested, send Paul Eklund an email. He was very quick at getting back to me.

Regardless, I don't know what to expect as far as schedule, etc., but it would be cool to catch up with you and all the other SE folks at the rally. I'll be in my red VW Scirocco 16v (GF wants the Subie for the autocross that weekend!!).
