Default 2006 ProSolo and NT entry fees

From Cindy:
Quote:
National Tour entry fees in 2006 are $76 and ProSolo entry fees are $85. Don't forget there is no ProSolo license requirement this year.

This is a good time to be thinking about whether or not your vehicle identification is compliant with the rules. Sometimes, a car can be compliant with the rules and it is still difficult to read car number and class designation either due to font or color contrast. We experienced significant improvement on this in 2005. Thanks for your cooperation.

Sure. Whatever. It's still insignificant in the overall cost of making the trip to an event 10 hours away. I actually wish they'd raise the price and upgrade sites, increase ProSolo payouts, etc.

Very true on all accounts. For most competitors the entry fee is just a drop in the bucket compared to all the other costs associated with a event. A event in the Southeast would be nice for a lot of us.

Kumho also has a contingency program, but they administer it themselves. Also, SCCA pays $500 to the Challenge winner.

ditto to what Joel said. It sucked not being able to do any Pro's last year.

If you go to the Kumho site for their contigency contracts now it links you to the scca.org contigency page. It says they will be run through SCCA now, but the scca site has not been updated yet. Big surprise there.

ah, ok. I ammend my statement to say, "prior to 2006, Kumho administered their own contingency"

Yes, you are correct. I was just letting everyone know what happened when I went to the Kumho site to get the 06 contigency forms.

Well, that was a RaceAmerica "contingency," and I'm not sure that's going to continue....

At the Toledo Pro (post-RaceAmerica), I think they gave away a free ProSolo entry for the first person to pull the .500 light.

I agree. I just try to cross-post any official SCCA news here (unless it's already been posted of course), since I know a lot of people don't check SCCA.org on a regular basis.

I don't think they did it last year. 3 of us (me, Carpenter, and John Brown) pulled a .500 light in Atlanta last year, and nobody got paid.

Considering everything else from that weekend... are you surprised? I think the reason that things were awarded later in the season was because Cindy came on board. Look at how the trophies went from shoddy keychains to nice travel mugs.

I hope the ProSolo supps are posted soon. Then we'll see the breakdown of the SCCA payouts for the Challenge qualifying and finishes.

I am upset they didn't have tshirts at the Toledo NT fo 2005. It was my first one and I really wanted to buy a t-shirt.

Whether there are T-shirts is up to the region that is hosting the event, not the National office. It's an additional expense that not all regions can afford without bringing in outside sponsorship.
