MD: stolen wheels
hey i hate to do this but ive gotta get the word out.. they are 18x8 Green Rota Formula's with STi stickers on the center caps.. they are my drift spares for my RWD forester and they had bald tires on them.. if you or anyone you know has them can you please contact me.. if you replaced the tires i will gladly pay to have them dismounted. id rather not have police involved especially if they were purchased from whomever stole them from me.. police will do nothing but look at us like were all criminals for having modified cars.. and ive done this way to many times already..
if you painted them fine i just would like the wheels back please.. they were stolen back in january and ive finally decided to post it everywhere. i need them asap.

You should elaborate if you want others to get involved and help with the search. If you haven't been concerned about their dissapearance 'till now why should we be? |

Seriously, dude. Something as noticeable as bright GREEN rims with bald tires, and you wait a full three months to post up about them? Good luck getting them back...

i wasnt a forum member back then.. the first month after it happened i went everywhere with no luck. plus my work schedule doesnt allow me much investigative time with me moving to a new home and everything else i have to deal with.. it wasnt my only set so it wasnt that big of a fuss. the wheels were part of a trade between myself and a friend with a rwd WRX.. they were being used as my drift spares. with the new info given to me yesterday has made me think that the person who stole them has finally sold them thinking the heat is off the wheels after it being so long.. once someone said they saw them i decided to stir up some internet justice.. |

I'm not a regular forum member is what I mean. This is the most activity I've had on any forum In a while. I'm just looking for some help in locating my wheels. Not here to argue with anyone or be called suspicious.. I don't want police involved cause if they were it would be unfair to whomever unknowingly bought my wheels. And yeah if they installed new rubber Il hapily pay for dismount of tires. I was going to put new tires on anyway. So if anyone sees them or knows who has them please contact me. The help is appreciated. Now I have to go spend some time on zilvia investigating cause they were last seen on zilvia on someone's car..
Again thanks. |

I did a quick craigslist search and nothing popped up. Good luck finding them, I hope they turn up.

I mean the person who purchased them wouldn't really get in trouble but the wheels would be taken and they won't get and compensation for em it happens to pawn shops everyday

thats why id rather deal with this without a police report.. ive been on the end of receiving stolen wheels before and i put new tires on them and the cops took them so i was out the $500 for the wheels and the $400 for new rubber.. so im being extremely fair when i say il pay for dismount if i find my wheels with new tires on them..

Sorry your wheels were stolen and good luck getting this resolved.
Here's my opinion: It would be MORE fair if you posted about them right after they were stolen. Or perhaps reported it to the police right after they were stolen. Someone may have seen your posts and NOT purchased the wheels. It's months later now. I'm not sure what I'd do in your situation, but I don't think someone who unknowingly purchased stolen property (according to you) is just going to hand over a set of wheels because you say they used to be yours. If I was on the other side of things, I'd definitely want the police involved. |
