Default 04 WRX w/ poor radio reception

Hi guys. So this has been bugging me for a while and I'm just now getting around to trying to resolve this problem. My car gets terrible FM reception. I can be in town in my car and get all kinds of fuzziness while the same place and same station in my brothers car gets the station fine. My car doesn't have an external antenna so it has to be in the windshield or back glass, but I can't find it. Anyway, I'm thinking that I could find some sort of external antenna it would help tremendously, but I'm open to other solutions. All I could find @ radio shack and auto zone were these enormous ass antennas.

Moved to the proper forum.
It's one of two things-
- If you installed an aftermarket radio you didn't connect the wire that powers the antenna amplifier. See the sticky/FAQ threads here for info on how to fix it.
- If you have metallic tint on the rear window it will ruin radio reception. The solution for this is to either remove the tint completely or replace it with ceramic tint.

window tint is the culprit. Has anyone solved this without removing the tint(i.e. by putting another antenna on there). Grimmspeed has the delete plate for the bugeye and it says they sell an antenna that mounts near the rear view, but I cannot find it to save my life. Or one of the little shark fin looking ones like BMW's have
