Default Bad Radio Reception on Headunit Upgrade

Title pretty much says it all. I upgraded my headunit to a Pioneer DEH-P3100UB and everything works great except I get horrible radio reception. It cuts in and out and is contantly searching for a signal. I did plug in the antenna in the back, and I am fairly certain that I did it right. Did I miss something?

Did you power the wire for the antenna in the glass? I Forget which wire it is (I'm sure that info is somewhere in this forum) but the radio reception will be bad unless it has power.
