Has anyone on here had any luck contacting SVXDC lately? I am looking for another harness he offers but no luck. I have the rear camera harness if anyone needs one.

Me2! I am looking to purchase a harness for the radio as well and I emailed SVXDC and have no heard back yet.

Any recommendation for getting a hardness to connect a rearview camera another way? Anyone else sell it?

Just give him a little time, SVXDC replied shortly after i posted this message, and I just received the product in the mail today.

it is perfect, but installation will have to wait about a week

I had mine in for about 5 hours then it locked and went into security code. if you unplug it and plug it back in it works, but still says security on the bottom before going back into security mode. It is the one off a JDM Forester. Went to local subaru no help, had a buddy in japan go to a subaru there and they told him the radio had a european model number. its been almost a year and its just sat.

any advice on how to get it to work!?

I know there are questions about proper resolution size, so I figured I would pass on what I found works really well. If you take an image sized to 829x480, then removing locked aspect ratio, resize the width to 720 it stretches perfectly when you put the screen to wide on the radio. Here is my proof

Does anyone know which wire is the speed sensing wire? I want to be able to use the audio settings while the car is in motion. As soon as the car moves, the head unit kicks me out of the menus.

Did you use dash trim tools to swap out the radios?

Probably looking to add an external amp, sub and backup camera.

US or Chinese version? Any difference in FM sound quality or overall volume?

I think that is actually the Chinese version because of the HD/TAG button instead of satellite radio.

I did not use any dash tools, just a thin flat head with some tape wrapped on it to prevent scratching. Once you pry a side open, just use your fingers to get the trim off. After that it's 4 screws and the plugs.

It looks like you got the Impreza version, not the Forester version. Subtle differences but still plug and play I believe.

Installed mine a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier with the difference over stock. Still waiting on svxdc to respond about a wiring harness so I can add an aftermarket backup camera.
