![]() Shouldn't have used "EV" instead of "Tesla". Everything else sucks, except maybe if you live in Norway.

The current argument now is "that's only to 80 to 90%!!" But how many fill their tanks to 100%. How many clicks does someone have to endure to get the gas to the rim of the filler tube.[/QUOTE] This is a strange argument. A full tank of gas is not considered to the rim of a filler tube. I'm not aware of any manufacturer that claims a petrol based driving range is filling a car to the absolute brim. A full tank is when the gauge reads full and is at a the first click at the pump. |

So while the gauge was showing full, there was quite of bit of capacity ignored. The EVs could do the same if they wanted to show quick charging with the new 70+KWH batteries. They would still show over 300 miles of range, but the last 20% would be a waste of materials and capacity. |

![]() Took delivery of our 2022 Model 3 Performance. As a car enthusiast and having only driven manual transmissions for the last 15+ years, I thought I would hate driving the Tesla (besides the ridiculous acceleration). I was wrong.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And a couple of the QC issues... Rear windshield install/alignment (driver side). This shouldn't be acceptable for a brand new car.. ![]() ![]() ![]() The passenger side headlight is also aligned very poorly and protrudes out. It's not even close to sitting flush on the bottom. Soonest service appointment to fix the issues is 4+ weeks away. Luckily the Tesla dealership is only a few miles from my house. Last edited by WRXnick16; 11-17-2021 at 03:07 PM. |

![]() That's not bad as it sounds like you got a good one for the most part as the headlight alignment is pretty common for these vehicles. At least the side view mirror plastic isn't delaminating, your steering wheel is aligned to the 12 o'clock position, doors aligned, rubber door seals all wavy, etc.

![]() That seems excessive, but it does include new calipers and such, and they're all massive parts, so $20k is about right.

![]() Eh. 1000+ HP and extra weight in the rear, sounds like a bad idea. Can't find the specs for the Plaid, but it was already 48/52 distribution before.

![]() juan, just for the sake of fairness:
tl;dw: NASIOC's own Tim Stevens is kinda disgusted by Tesla's FSD scam and all the false braking events his car does. |

To be fair that guy doesn't know what he is talking about. The FSD upgrade has nothing to do with what he mentioned. The currently FSD suit only adds summon, smart summon and stoping for stop signs and lights. The free basic autopilot suit sees phantom braking. He is also being over dramatic about autopilot and FSD being dangerous; free autopilot is in over 1M cars. Tesla autopilot data already shows that their cars have less accidents with their system activated by many times compared to a human driver and there is no point on debating that. Currently FSD is overpriced IMO but you do get the features available listed on their website so I don't see how it is a scam. Having FSD also adds some value to the car on trades. Whenever it work which might take a few years it will be worth gold. I hope I can get the FSD beta this week with my subscription and try it out. I have a 99 driving score from my trip. People think that Waymo or others are perfect but they are wrong ![]() Adding something like a Supercruise to a Cadillac will cost your over $4k because you have to chose an automatic transmission and it will only work on certain highways. And something like a Bluecruise cannot even take a slight sharp curve on the highway and will all the sudden disengage on the middle of the curve. I hope that people take a look at the available feature breakdown for FSD before spending their $10k. Last edited by juanmedina; 11-28-2021 at 09:59 AM. |

![]() FSD is getting more impressive specially with 10.5. I really hope I get the beta in the weekend to try it out:
I have to take my car for service because I got a low coolant warning coming back from out trip but it says that I can keep driving it but to schedule a service appointment. I also found a nasty paint defect on the bottom of one of the doors and I think the only way to fix it is to repaint the door and I am thinking not doing anything because I don't want to have the car in the paint shop for weeks and I already had PPF installed ![]() I will probably get more points for posting this article: ![]() https://www.teslarati.com/porsche-wh...fires-coverup/ Quote:
