no, toyotas highest trim has grey stitching and accent lines. looks cleaner and more adult than the red lines and stitching in the subaru. and yes, neptune blue is a better color option for my palate. i love dark grey metallic on my wrx, but the new dark grey metallic looks bland on the twins, esp with subaru’s grey wheels vs toyota’s black.

IDK whats the deal with these markup rumors. I got mine with MSRP price. Haven't heard of a single person with a huge markup price. Seen pictures? sure but its the internet, who knows if its real or fake.

Seems like the automatics are piling up now too, at least relative to the manuals which are all spoken for before they even get VINs. Got to have a look at one in the showroom and the dealer was like "you sure you won't consider the auto" and I'm like dude..

I don't disagree, but we've been making delrin knobs for 15 years now, so let me put a different perspective out there..

We don't sell many white knobs, but the ones we do sell to, are very set on having white. They fall nearly exclusively into two categories. Motorsports, and really hot places. Motorsports guys like them for the contrast they provide vs the interior; 'knowing where the knob is in your peripheral vision' (something to that extent) is the common theme. In very hot regions I think the consensus is anything black is painful, lol.

So as much as I agree, I prefer black too, I do see the practicality of using a white knob as well.

Those are valid points. I only seem to like white shift knobs in older classic cars and less so in modern cars unless there's white leather and an overall white theme.

Well, in my old BRZ, I picked up the base model Japanese "rubber" shift knob and it was black but never got hot because it wasn't a hard heat absorbing material. Also felt better IMO than most knobs:

Saw my first 2022 BRZ in the flesh this past weekend. Really sharp and the difference relative to the first generation is much more apparent in person.

Really nice car IMO.

I thought the stock BRZ knob was fine. I like the STI knobs because I found it easy enough to spot the STI logo on the knob when using my peripheral. I understand some people are VERY technical and prefer function over form, but a white knob would completely throw off my entire vibe. I spruced up my BRZ's interior by adding various splashes of red, whether from STI or TRD. Looked snappy.

Might test drive one if a local dealer gets one in stock that isn't spoken for with a manual, but wouldn't buy until factory BBK is available.

I do want another toy though...

The wait is forever. 86 with PP, wait. GR Corolla, wait. STI details, wait. Geez.
But I’m not fatigued with it. The car market is so f’d I’ve punted to the end of 2023 at the earliest and as late as mid 2024. I’ve never paid sticker for any vehicle in my life and not changing now so I’m happy to wait some more. Will just end up being the fattest down payment I have ever put down in my life. Who knows, if I can save enough a whole new class of cars enters the realm or I double dip and get another bike and a PP 86

3 of our 5 that we've taken orders for are ATs and the first 2 orders we got were AT. Granted the very first one the customer couldn't buy it; but, it didn't sit but a week before another buyer picked it up.

I've been hitting up the three dealerships here in San Diego. Two are willing to play ball at MSRP and the other was like "the Subaru factories are doing markups." I responded with "don't you mean dealership markup? As far as I know, the factory doesn't mark up". His reply was along the line of 'lol, dunno, but someone will pay it if you don't." Ha, what a douche. Looks like I'll probably have to wait for the factory orders to open back up.

Covid obviously makes it worse but the car just got released man. I mean i’s just been a couple of months on the BRZ being sold, 86 even less time. Any new sports/performance car is a PITA the first 12-18 months to acquire. If you want one and don’t want to put up with a bunch of bull**** then just wait until next year. Patience always wins and will save you money.

I wouldn't disagree with the strategy of waiting; however, this 2nd gen set a monthly record in it's first full month of sales.......WITHOUT every dealer getting one to sell. And then there is such a long line of orders, they had to cancel the ordering process. Yeah, I think it'll be more than a year for better prices(for those "stealerships" that mark up) unless this chip thing gets under control and they can just have normal production.

I chatted with two dealerships that aren't doing markups and left my info for when the orders open up or they get what I'm looking for in stock. We'll see what happens. I'm in no hurry, I've had my car for 8 years, what's one more?

Where do you live? I might have to look out of state because I refuse to pay anything more than MSRP for anything.

San Diego. Frank Subaru and Sunroad both will do MSRP, no markup.

in the extremely large market of dildos, you'll have to get more specific on the style (size, shape, etc) of dildo.
