Check engine. Tumble generator valve

2002 WRX. Check engine light came on. Diag with the TGV stuck open. Has anyone experienced problems with this valve being stuck open? What are the problems with this.

When the engine is cold, the tumble generator valves close to allow a leaner A/F mixture. When the engine has warmed to normal operating temperatures, the TGVs open. It appears the only problem caused by stuck-open TGVs is added emissions when you first start the car.
