MY 2000 Check Engine, and Moonroof Vibrations

HELP!

I have a 2000 2.5rs manual, im at 4300 miles..And the Past 3 weeks off and on i have had the check engine light come on..
i pushed my first oil change (im bad i know) to 3600 miles..2 miles before i got it changed the CE light came on...after the oil change and a refueling it went off..

Lately, it seems it comes on at about Half a tank of gas..then after some time and a refill it goes off..And NO it is not due to a lack of tighenting the cap..im wondering if this is the sign of an o2 sensor fail..

ALSO:
Today i noticed for the first time, that when i have the moonroof(sun..whatever) open and i hit 20-25 mph i get a horrific vibration throughout the car..this is completely new..and is veryyyy bothersome

anyone else have this experience?

I'm right behind you, mileage-wise (3400 or so) but can't claim I've had either of these symptoms. Is the moonroof full open when this happens? Happen at certain speeds?

After thinking some more on it, the moonroof thing can be influenced by bunches of factors:
-Air temp/Humidity
-If other car windows are open (so car is/is not a sealed resonating chamber)
-Car speed
-aperture size of moonroof (how open)

Any of these can vary from day to day and can change how much noise/rattle you get...

You might play with the roof while it's parked and open. See if there is any play anywhere in it.

I've had similar problems with the CE light on my MY00 manual. It started at ~7K miles, and usually with about 1/2 tank of gas. No noticeable performance difference, other than the mysterious periodic hesitation problem which seems to happen whether the CE light is on or off. I've taken the car to the local Sube dealer, and so far no joy. As far as the moonroof vibration goes, I'd get that checked ASAP. Good luck.

I get that vibration thing too. I don't think it is anything to worry about. Try opening one of the windows a bit, that makes it go away for me.

I had the CE light on my MY00 manual at about 1600 mi. According to the warranty work order, they replaced the front O2 sensor.

i don't get the moonroof sound, but i used to get it in my last car when the sunroof was open and rear windows open..but front windows closed.....
my scooby isn't a sedan though...so never had these problems.
