Default AEM UEGO and Rom Raider - Troubleshooting = Suicide?

I know this topic is covered in depth, but I am unable to find anything about the problem I am having.

No matter what I do, I am unable to get the serial readings to display in Romraider.

I have 3 different cables all of which display the plaintext numbers from the gauge in hyperterminal.

I have confirmed this on both laptops I am using. One is running RR0.5.7RC1 and the other RC2.

I have tried all the cables on each laptop and am still having the same failures.

Any ideas??

Post on the romraider forums mate. A romraider developer could prolly help you narrow it down through the rr debugging logs

What failures are you having? You need to have rr logging the tactrix first then select the aem. Go to plugins select aem uego 9600 select your com port then select that data pid. It won't work on its own without some funky crap if you want to log the aem without the tactrix

Thanks for the replies guys. It was an odd issue. I was logging just fine with RR using my tactrix cable, just that the AEM input wasnt registering. I ended up just updating java and it worked.

I used RR trace debugging and noticed the plugins for the external sensors are controlled via java, so I updated it and everything is working.

Seriously frustrating seeing as I bought a bunch of cables, but hopefully this might help someone out in the future.
