Not sure where you are in Wisconsin, but it might also be the smarter move with the awd of the WRX...though the BRZ would be fun to swing around corners with a little bit of snow.

Yep, Kenosha. We get all the lake effect. All is well in the world, back to waiting on the WRX!

I've only had my 5DR WRX for a little over a week and I can tell you that I'm so happy I went that direction. I picked up some thing from IKEA and Menards and it was great to fold the seats down and have a big cargo space. I also work in IT and putting computers in and out of a hatchback is great. With a family, dog, etc I'm pretty sure you'll be happy you waited once you have it.

Also, I'm jealous of the lake effect you guys get. Being southwest of Chicago, Im too far out to frequently get epic snowfalls.

"Was planning on a new head unit and speakers, but maybe I'll swap in some half decent speakers first and see where that gets me. I don't need anything that sounds fantastic, just good would do. Will probably get a head unit at some point but it involves wiring up the steering wheel control and Bluetooth too so I've been dragging my feet on it."

.........................................

Defiantly upgrade the speakers first. If you stick with 6" speakers, which is rare to find but they will fit perfectly into the stock harness in the back doors. I want a touch screen head unit, looking at the pioneer 4400 which that linked described so thanks. I also just ordered the dynomat, will be getting it tomorrow and should have it installed by the weekend. I will let you know how the sound is after that, but I also got the dynomat to cancel the outside noise because as you know those summer tires are loud especially a cold exhaust in the morning, I don't mind it as much as my Fiance!

^^^

Would love to know the jump from OEM HU and aftermarket speakers, to aftermarket HU and speakers, thank you. The current Pioneer HU lineup looks real nice, though I like most Pioneer HU I come across. I don't particularly need touchscreen, but heck for $350 or so I can have a small DVD player for the kiddos.

Do you have the sedan or hatch? My wife instantly hated the seats and sound of the exhaust... nearly ended up with a Camry because of it. Anyway, reason I ask is because we tested a Sedan which supposedly has much louder stock exhaust. Curious to see how my hatch sounds, if and when I ever get it, lol

That what I was told too when I ordered this past Saturday. But my saleman also added that it could be longer lol. They're the only dealer in my city to have a 2013 WRX on the showroom so hopefully they'll get a good amount of allocation. I'm dying to have my WRX.

So, I've had her for a week and a half now. I thought someone may be interested in my small first mods, although I guess I should try not to veer off topic. So, these will be the last pictures I post here. I debadged the hatch except for WRX. I added a red pinstripe to the front grill. Great "mod." Only took 5 minutes.

I also made a bumper cover using a bungee cord with carbiner ends I found at Menard's, some fabric snaps I got from a Michael's, and a soft towel I got from Target. I specifically picked that bungee so it's taught but not stressing the cargo hooks 24/7.

Nice, I may need to do that bumper cover for my dogs. They don't piss in the car, but if one marks my new car I will pop open the hatch on the freeway.

LOL

I don't like the look of the factory bumper cover and I figure this way it covers more of the bumper and I can just unsnap it and toss it in the wash if it gets dirty.

Nice idea you got there. I am getting the bumper cover because it wasn't too pricey, is functional, and I like the additional contrast of the black on the bumper.

That looks really good. I have a set of red Hellas to go onto my CBS WRX and this would really match well. Is there a DIY for this?

DIY: Buy 1/4" red tape, apply.

Ok! Today is the big day, I can feel it...the truck is probably sitting at the dealership waiting for them to open. He's was 1.5 weeks late because he drove really slow so no debris would hit the cars.

Wow if you ordered 9/10, and I ordered 10/5, and you are learning of a december ETA, I guess my january one isn't that inaccurate after all........

This sucks
