A dealership near me told me last week that all dealerships get the ability to order at the same time, but it's certainly possible that dealerships in your area have not yet had meetings between the sales manager and the salespeople to decide on markup and pricing information.

It's also certainly possible that the finance manager that told me this was mistaken (or lying).

Are you worried about looking like a pest or looking overeager by asking again this week? If you know what car you want, dealerships LOVE you, because they don't need to take the time to put you on a test drive or sell you on the safety and performance features, all they have to do is order you a car, take a deposit, and deliver it, and they get money. I personally don't think you're going to get a better deal by playing "hard to get" so to speak.

Nah, I'm not worried. I was actually specifically told my SOA that different regions open up at different times over facebook, haha, so thats true. I will reach out this week.

To keep this thread on track, I placed my order this morning for a CBS STI with the recaros/push start package. Received the Subaru email with VON later that night. Estimated arrival is last week of July. Time to play the waiting game.

So I'm looking at a wrx limited for a daily so I can turn my Evo 9 to a track car.

I live in MD and the prices given for 2019 preorder is all over the place. I would get a 2018 or earlier WRX but I haven't really looked into the difficulty in installing aftermarket HU. Installing one on the Evo 9 was a pain unless you got real tiny hands... So I rather just buy fully loaded car and not worry about it.

I was quoted for limited 6mt with nav/sound by Heuberger for 31,383.00 before D&H, local taxes and 1k in shipping. Was wondering if anyone in Mid-Atlantic area got a quote around that price minus shipping.

I can't tell if your pricing is about a 2019.

If you are talking 2019, I think you got a great price for a 2019. All I could get was invoice + $500 for a 2019, and i know I am getting a mediocre deal.

If you look at their 2019 pricing,

Code 21 2019 WRX Limited 6MT MSRP = $31,795
Code 22 2019 Nav + HK Audio + BSD/RCTA = $2,100
2019 Subtotal = $33,895

You are getting over $2500 off MSRP so I think that is pretty good for a new model.

http://media.subaru.com/pressrelease...19-wrx-wrx-sti

For a 2018, Consumer Reports says you should be able to get about $2800 off, but that does not include the Nav/Audio upgrade, and I know around here, the pipeline governs...they have stopped making 2018's so whatever is in the pipeline is it, and so perhaps they feel they can command a higher price for the more "rare" car...

Code 21 2018 WRX Limited 6MT MSRP = $31,595
Code 22 2018 Nav + HK Audio + BSD/RCTA = $2,100
2018 Subtotal = $33,695

http://media.subaru.com/pressrelease...d-2018-wrx-wrx

Good luck and let us know what you decide

One dealer told me Invoice + $500 and another told me "probably" invoice price for a 2019. A 2018 its invoice minus $800 hold back. In the dallas area there are tons of WRX and STI. Two dealers have Type RAs which i offered invoice but they said no. Good luck with the 2019 being the same thing minus some stuff.

A dealer around said they can beat the price, going to go sit down with them and see what they can offer tomorrow if I have time after the Caps parade

Got information from my dealer yesterday that my initial preorder estimate of September 2018 is now pushed further to October 2018 now that the order was officially submitted and this is the ETA Subaru gave them. :/

FWIW, my dealer is an SDC dealer rather than SOA dealer (even though they are the biggest in the area) so they are usually treated a bit second priority from what I understand.

Sorry man, that sucks! The waiting is the worst part. Is there a way you can change some of the options on it to get a more common allocation? Fewer or more desirable options, etc.

Pulled the trigger and ordered a STI limited. It will be invoice price and exact amount to be determined once the VIN and factory invoice is received. Expected date is sometime in august.

Subaru.com has finally been updated to show the 2019 models. I didn't see anything too mind blowing except the new all weather floor mats. They now have a design with high edges. The old mats wouldn't contain the snow and slush as well. I always had salt stains in the carpet with the flat old design.

Nice! I got the same and preordered mine in May. Still no news as to when, but estimated by the end of July or August. What color and options did you choose?

Rally Blue. I got the Aero Splash Guards, cargo tray, Short throw shifter, and auto dimming mirror with homelink. I wanted the STI performance exhaust but its no longer available on the 2019 so im wondering if the performance exhaust is this new high flow system they mention.

What did you select?

I want to believe, but I don't think that's the case. My guess is that the 2019 STI will get the same exhaust as the 2018 Type RA, which, according to this iwsti thread, has the same midpipe as the previous VA STIs, and a (supposedly) different muffler, but we'll just have to wait and see what the 2019 has in store for us.

Default Pricing ?

This is a n00b question but should manufacturer rebates/discounts come off the invoice price or are they typically applied to the MSRP in order to drop the price down to the invoice price.

It should be from whatever price you negotiate. The manufacturer rebates are not dealer dependent. So say you get that $500 Subaru ambassador coupon then itís $500 of invoice or whatever price you negotiated

The coupon works as a extra $500 discount once you agree on what price you want whether it is below invoice, invoice, msrp, etc. Just make sure you use it before you sign any papers from the finance manager.

Just ordered a 2019 STI base CWP! Test drove the 2018 Sti at the dealership and it definitely drives better than my 16WRX. I have no idea why some people say the ride is harsher? The ride quality was smoother, it grips well on turns, shifts like butter, and I love the iconic wing! I had to do some few emails and got the price down to 35,472 including D&H before the Ambassador Coupon on a Base Model 2019 STI with no other extra features. Getting down to that price was hard in my local area(San Diego). I am super excited!!! On the email it say it will be delivery on the last week of August, hopefully it gets delivered sooner. 🙏 Good luck to you all 2019 owners!

My email also states last week of August. I see 2019 WRX in the pipeline and in transit to many dealers so i assume the production line started with the WRX and then the STI will come next. I got down to invoice but also have another dealer offering $500 below invoice so when the car arrives i will discuss $500 from invoice. I will also keep email SOA in hopes someone on the other end will give me one as I read in other posts some people got that to work.

When i test drove a 18 STI i also felt that the car shifted well and ride was "smooth". I'm in a 15 forester XT so of course the car will be more harsh but i was expecting worse.

Good eyes noticing that detail! Good to see they are beginning to match the Weathertech and Husky designs, which are so much better than the old OEM design for containing snow, slush, sand, mud, etc.

I wish they offered weathertech style floor mats. Have a nice subaru logo on there to make it more custom look. I have always used weathertech mats and will be ordering them once i get my VIN. They hold dirt and water so well that i pretty much never have to vacuum the carpet.

Placed an order last week for a WRX Limited. I received a VON later that night. Estimated time of arrival is the last week of August. I hope it gets here sooner, because it's going to be a difficult wait.
