Default New Porsche Taycan 4S

Quote:
New Porsche Taycan 4S unveiled with £83,000 price
Much of the 4Sís technical makeup is the same as pricier Taycans, with two electric motors across both axles for four-wheel drive and a two-speed transmission for acceleration. However, the rear motor is 80mm shorter than it is in the Turbo and Turbo S, while it also receives smaller brakes, down to 360mm and six pistons on the front and 358mm and four pistons at the rear.

Exterior styling changes include smaller 19in wheels, red painted callipers and a revised bodykit including a different front apron, side sills and rear diffuser. Dynamic LED lights remain standard fitment. Part-leather is standard, but Porsche also offers a leather-free cabin with recycled materials.

As with other Taycans, three years access to Ionityís rapid chargers and the Porsche Charging Service. Customersalso receives a driving experience at the brandís Silverstone Experience Centre.

Interested to start seeing the overpaid amazon folk driving around in these, instead of Telsa's. More competition is a good thing.

I think you'll see a lot of these in places like Los Angeles, San Diego, and New York first. I could see Silicon Valley and Seattle holding out as people kinda seem loyal to Tesla. Time could prove otherwise. Sure, I bet we see the P90 and 100D destroy a Taycan 4s around a track but thats not exactly the purpose of a 4S model.

I think there are a lot of people, especially those with a Panamera that will jump on this. Give it 300-350 miles per charge and a 0-60 in under 5 seconds (maybe under 4.5) and I'd consider it a solid EV vehicle. In my opinion, there is still something about a Porsche and owning a Porsche that Tesla or any EV doesn't have which is the long standing Pedigree and simply saying "I drive a Porsche." Again, my opinion and it carries no actual fact.

Nah, I think the Porsche badge will wear more honor... perhaps not with the more granola seattle folk, but definitely with the Bellevue type folks.

I view it as similar to the porsche suv's.... everyone was happy driving their other run-of-the-mill suv's, until porsche came out with one... then everyone had to have one.
