Default stop the door dings give me ridrespect!

i am fed up with getting dings from cluless morons, i park by my lonesome if i can but if not its a crapshoot, so i made this emblem, RR, its a small clear decal, i hate decals but this one is paint safe, comes off and very subtle, if there are enough out there you can look for it and park near those who will respect your ride, search riderespect blogspot ! i had to try something!

Was there supposed to be a picture of said decal?
Also, door dings are inevitable... just gotta learn to live with them.

Dings happen. Just be thankful that you aren't getting your doors or fenders kicked in like some other Subie owners. Drunk ******* bastards that can't respect a nice car....

....not me. I had my '03 for eight years and the only ding I got in the car was one on the trunk that was my fault (which I immediately had fixed) and a very minor one on the hood & fender from debris from the road. Other than that, the panels were all free from door dings during those 8 years. ....I have/had similar luck with my other vehicles over the last 25+ years so I must be doing something right.

i park in corners and as close to the curb as possible. I also don't park in places where most people like to park or walk past.. like in front of stores, in front of entrances, etc.

18k miles and 0 door dings!

I watched some guy throw open his door into the car next to him and then casually get out and walk away like it was no big deal. I don't understand why that's acceptable to some people.

I park far away, park crookedly, park next to things that won't open a door into my car, anything I can to avoid people

I'm at a year without a single ding....my coworkers laugh because at parent teacher conference night I park at a nearby strip mall because it gets less traffic. You can avoid door dings, you just have to be slightly crazy to do it.

Door ding the very first day I bought my car, was at a coffee shop, saw it happen and went off on the guy ... I was asked to leave the establishment.
The next month some kid with a mustang jumped on my hood ... I went home got in my 77 vw rabbit and slammed it into the side of his car at about 40 .... Maybe I have an anger management problem?

This was last weekend. I went to the King of Prussia mall (biggest mall in America) and I always park in the same area. This spot was in the parking tower obviously. Depending on how crowded it is I'll park in different spots. As you can see I'm parked with my tire right on the line so in a case where someone would park next to me when they opened their door they wouldn't hit me since I recently got 11 dings removed.

This broad not only parks like a moron next to me but there was no other cars around. Not only that someone else decided to park next to her. Seriously what is wrong with people.

Oh yeah also forgot to mention about a month before this someone caught my rear quarter pannel while either pulling in or pulling out when parking, same kind of senerio. This time when I came out there was at least a lot of cars parked around and it wasn't away (which it was at the time) from everyone. grr.. Sorry for the rant.

suparu, love the parking job. you gotta make an effort to park where you wont get dinged. even if that means walking 30 miles from your car. im a big fan of garages with cameras and making the most of corner spots.

Got my stickers (thanks) and put one on the new WRX STi. It's on the lower left bumper, directly on the tow hook cover. Poor quality photo, but definately recognizable in person to fellow RiderRespect'ers.

I'm pretty sure that it will be meaningless to the A-holes, but at least it's something.

Yeah there were about 30 spots closer they could have parked in. That is just how it is I guess. I should be proactive and start keying cars that park next to me like that....they'll learn a lesson.

Isn't the point of the sticker so other people see it and respect to ride? Pretty sure people who would know what it is would already be respecting peoples rides to begin with. Lol

I've honestly given up on dings... I USED to park as far away as possible and I was at walmart one time for about an hour getting groceries and what not. I come out (I was literally 20 spots FURTHER than the closest car) and there was a shopping cart touching my front driver side door. Big scratch AND a dent. Seriously, who goes out of their way to do that?!!!!?!?!?

THEN the next time I'm there, AGAIN I park at least 10 spots from the closest and come out... there is an old as beater truck parked RIGHT NEXT ME!! WTFFFFFFF. Out of allllll the spots available you had to park RIGHT next to me!?!?!? UGHHHHHH!!!!! Luckilly I didn't see any dings from that douchebag or I would have stood there until they came out....

**** people and **** door dings.

/rant.
