USDM STi vs JDM AVCS vs US WRX timing belt cover
I'm doing a V7 STi bottom end with V8 STi heads. I acquired a short block and heads from seperate sources, not a complete motor. Upon assembly, I'm finding that the timing belt cover on the right side will not clear the AVCS cam gear - the left side appears to work fine.
My question is: Do I simply need the right-hand cover say from a USDM STi? Or do I need the entire belt cover assembly (all five pieces)? Or do I really need a belt cover from a JDM 2.0 with AVCS? Anyone have both laying around and can compare them? Thanks! -Keith-

OK - the answer apparently is that the USDM STi right-hand cover will work fine.
Next - does someone make an turbo oil line that connects from the AVCS feed line to a VF22 or I suppose, what does a VF39 oil feed line look like? Maybe that's all I need? -Keith- |
