I dont know what area your in but its also pobbible that your getting into a lower class "E85" and tuned for 85% ethanol, if thats the case, if your pumping 70% ethanol and tuned for 85% your may be seeing noise from that too
Really great info man. I appreciate it. I'm actually a 2.0. Going to go ask around and see what's being pumped out here. The search continues but with some better info. Thanks

I asked about 2.0's a few months ago on E85, not too much info. I'm 2.2 so figured for tuning it was closer to a 2.0 than a 2.5.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2722277

I have a broken ringland right now, have for a few thousand miles now. I dont know how it happened, combo of aggresive driving, low oil and my muchroom combustion chamber maybe. But i still push it everyday while i prep my 2.5 block. Then once 2.5 block is in, im going to rebuild the 2.2 block with forged slugs and some upgraded rods

Awesome thread. I seem to see 10* before it pulls timing. Anyway I hit up the gent in that thread to pick his brain too. Going to do one good pull when i get my wideband installed this evening and have a look.

Hey guys back again. Quick question according to my mods which is
Stock ej205 (56k)
750cc dw
Blouch 16gxt
3 inch catless turbo back
Walboro 255
Mishimoto tmic
Protuned on E-85 at 280whp 275wtq
Should I be pulling hard on e46 m3's?
Or is my car just quick? I feel like my car is not that fast but I thought the m3 should have given me a better run.
Sunday night I raced a 2012 v6 Camaro and felt like that kept up with me better but still took it. Thanks!!

My E46 M3 put down 260 hp to the wheels stock 305 modded and weighted 3600 lbs. Your car has more power to weight ratio and more hp average throughout the power band.

Low reading dyno? You should be putting down much more than that, ie around 330-340whp on a normal mustang.

I believe so.. It's a dynapack
When I went in for the tune my baseline pump tune was only showing 215whp and once the e85 tune was done it went from 215-275whp.
Thanks guys.

Also the dyno tuning was done in 4th gear only. Would that make the power show lower as compared to 3rd gear?
Thanks guys.

my 4th gear pull showed less torque and a few less hp than my 3rd gear pulls. the 750's are probably limited you. I'm at 100%DC on 850's

the two odd lines off to side were the 4th gear

Yea I know my injectors are maxed out lol. I've been wanting to swap in 1000's but I spoke to my tuner and he strongly suggests not raising the power anymore and that it's at my own discretion.
Also how much boost can I run until the stock map sensor starts reading inaccurate?

This can be fixed - talk to your tuner.
If you open source you might be able to do this yourself.

I don thave time to read through the whole thread but can someone enlighten me on how long you can leave e85 in the tank for without running the car? My tuner had mentioned no more than 3-5 days? Does it need to be started every day to keep the injectors from clogging?

You should have no issue leaving e85 in your tank for a few months at a time. I've had it in my racecar for 3 months now and plan on firing it up when I take it to the track next month with no issues.

I store two cars with E85 for 5-6 months a year. I also did the same with my supercharged SHO when I had it as well. No issues in the last 4 or 5 winters.

The STi had ID1000's in for most of those winters and now has ID1300's. The SHO had ID1000's and the S2000 has OEM WRX/STi 565cc injectors in it.

I converted my 07 to e85 in 2008 and parked it in 2009. It sat with only the occasional start and run around block 2-3 times a year for 5 years with the same fuel in it. It has had no problems. Once I started driving it regularly I ran out the tank that was in there w/o incident and filled it back up. One reason I parked it was the only e85 station closed down and I have to drive an hour to get fuel so I get 50-100 gallons at a time. All that I have found is the e85 in those plastic fuel jugs will go to e90 or even e95 as the gasoline evaporates, but the ethanol stays in the jug. I did not test the fuel in the car, but it ran fine.

So if anyone is telling you "a few days" I'd recommend not taking any advice from that person regarding e85 as they are ignorant of the fuel.

Default E85 fuel FAQ

I have a good one. I am currently having to fill 55g metal drums with e85 since the nearest station is 4.5hrs away one way. 9hr trip. So I filled 110g the first time. It lasted 5 days. (Country living so town is 25miles one way.) I got 165g this time and I think will last 8-10 days. Possibly 2 weeks since I'll be using my truck a little more also. I bought the good Fill-Rite electric pump and a good nozzle like at gas station. Tanks on pallets and pump grounded. is it ok to leave pump in? The drum is used within a few days normally. But they are outdoors but out of direct sunlight. I even tarp it. Is this ok? Can anyone give me good suggestions on best ways to store? I should have my Cobb flex fuel kit installed soon so I will get ethanol readings. Currently waiting for my ethanol test kits to arrive. I'd like to make sure I don't have them absorb moisture. Other tanks are tightly sealed.
