Question disconnect battery, but keep power to ECU?

Is there a power line that I can hook a battery up to in a WRX so that the ECU won't reset even if I disconnect my car battery?

I've seen a little battery (9V), that is attached to a cigarette lighter plug. The idea is that you plug this into the cigarette lighter (or power plug), disconnect your battery, and it should keep critical items with power (radio, but only for station presets, clock, and the all important ECU). I have seen these around either on a web site such as IPD (www.ipdusa.com), or elsewhere. Don't be put off by the fact that IPD is a Volvo specialist, just hunt around the site.
