Here is a cruise I did with the local S2000 club. Gives some more sounds clips of the Perrin Exhaust.

...and a little off road action.

Here's mine with some pathetic fall color from Jasper County Indiana. Definitely not liking the 4X4 look.

my SPT dual (came with car) was causing rattles all over the place in the car. I had an 18" vibrant resonator welded in....this didn't reduce the volume very much (I've gotten many complements on the sound of the exhaust this way), but it did reduce the hits/pulsation a good bit, which pretty much eliminated all the exhaust-related rattles....

It did not affect the performance of the car at all, I might add.

In this area, loud exhaust will get you tickets, even if it is original on the car...

Yeah ok. Go with HID's that have cool colors but less output than the stock halogens.

I like the blue headlights and I don't care what everyone else thinks. The blue Lamin-X gives off a white light instead of yellow which I like a lot. I will post more pics when I get HID's. At least I didn't go with yellow headlights.

Those are 5000k HIDs, still in the yellow-white category and don't have less output than the stock halogens ....it's when you get into the higher kelvin ranges into the blue light scale that you lose actual output. I fully agree that the 6000k, 7000k, etc reduce visibility for the "blue" coloration. Mine are completely white with no blue, and a hint of yellow. Visibility is significantly better than the stock halogens....

Also, putting a blue tint film on your headlights reduces the output of your stock halogens as well, so you're hardly in a position to talk

That's fine and you shouldn't care what anyone thinks (its your car)..... but if you post pictures of your car, you should expect to get comments on them and not get upset about it.

Didn't you just talk **** about my HIDs a couple sentences up, and then say you're going to get some?

my questions are how much better is the ride with aftermarket sways than stock? and did you get new endlinks?

1. From your prior post and the wording used I figured you were one of those people that think that 12000k HID's are the ****. I don't care what HID's you have.

2. Not as much as the tinted versions Lamin-X offers. If my optic blue Lamin-X does reduce light output, which I am sure it does, I haven't noticed.

3. Darn right I don't give a hoot about what other people think about my car. I like to post pics to give people out there an idea of what they may like to do. See anyone else post pics of an 09 wrx with optic blue Lamin-X headlamps? I don't think so.

4. No, I did not talk flak about HID's. I was talking flak about your HID's which you cleared up by stating that you currently have 5000K HID's instead of the outlandish like 12000K that I figured you had by stating that your's had "color".

lol...wasn't trying to be a dick, just didn't know what you were asking. Though I did think asking for pics was kind of funny....not many people ask for pics of swaybars, since they're pretty boring.

sways really don't affect the ride quality of the car in any significant way (not the way stiffer springs, for instance, do). You can feel a slight difference over very uneven roads, but in terms of ride quality on the highway or whatever, there's really not much of a difference.

That said, they make a significant difference in the handling and cornering of the car.

obvously, larger sways reduce body lean significantly (more or less depending on what size you run) and affect understeer/oversteer (depending on the size you run).

I'm running a 25mm Cobb up front and a 19mm Perrin in the rear (currently on middle setting). Rallitek endlinks all around.

This setup (also have 08 STi stock springs) helps rear rotation, but still leans toward understeer - though it is much less pronounced than stock.

Basically, the combo is a good "street" setup (where slight understeer is "safer" than slight oversteer), though for track work or autocross I'll probably run a slightly larger rear bar to help with rotation.

The drastic reduction in body lean by itself is a huge plus, regardless of balance. I highly suggest both front and rear sways.

Also I have the Perrin SLS, which has the effect of using a larger rear sway without any effect on ride........as well as better drivetrain response. highly suggested and not expensive at all.

PS: with the front sways in particular, a good idea is to wrap the bar with teflon tape inside the bushing....it lasts alot longer squeak-free compared to greasing, regreasing, etc....I had to regrease my Cobb every month or so until I put the teflon tape in there.

Same thing goes for the rear bar, to a lesser extent.

I got Perrin f/r 22mm sways with Perrin f/r endlinks and I love it. The lean going around corners feels a lot tighter with no roll in the car. I would deffinitly recommend getting some if you have the money. Cobb makes a really nice front swaybar that's a lot thinker then the Perrin front sway IMO.

hell no! I pretty much hate anything over 5000k or so. I figured by the blue film it was you that actually just cared about the blue color (not visibility), hence my suggestion to go the HID route and get both....

good, then we're in a agreement. I do think the rest of the car looks great in those pics...

Yeah I guess i was unclear anyhow.... the color I was referring to was the fogs (2000k bulbs, non-HID). I used yellow lamin-x on several past cars fog lights, so I'm definitely a fan of that too....

anyway, sorry for the confusion....for some reason I'm typing like an ******* tonight, lol....it was a long day at work :/

Glad to clear things up..

On a side note. I'm sooo glad my headlamps and fog lights are protected. I figure it is easier to replace Lamin-X than the entire headlamp assembly.

Oh, the optic blue Lamin-X does not make the light blue. It makes it whiter than anything else.

woWRX...

here's an example of the body lean with the sways I have in a hard, tight turn.....much reduced vs. stock.

Are they for trade for stock rims that I've curbed to hell because who the hell knew that there was a curb on the side of the drive up ATM? If not, what rims are they? Size?
