I am 40 and had an 04 WRX bought new and then traded for an 05 STi. Was in my 30's when I bought both. Still proudly have the STi.

That whole post was meant as a positive statement. I love being in my 30's and I've loved all of my WRX's.I just made the 30's comment to clarify that just because you're in your 30's doesn't mean you're old. Ha.

I'm 39 (turning 40 next month) and bought a new '13 WRX sedan in DGM this past May and absolutely love it. Its stock for now, but I plan to get a catted downpipe and a pro-tune sometime next year. I have a wife and two young kids. My wife drives a Pilot, which we take for family outings. I drive my kids to daycare/pre-school everyday in the WRX. My 4-year-old son tells me to "go turbo," which is fantastic. Generally speaking, I'm a cautious driver (especially with my wife and kids in the car). I still enjoy the power and handling of the WRX when the conditions are safe and I'm alone in the car. I'm coming from many years driving a Nissan Titan, so even a stock WRX provides me a lot of thrills. It took a lot of work to convince my wife to get it (our first trip to the dealer she asked me if I was having a mid-life crisis. I probably was, but who cares?). Now that I have it, she loves it.

I'm actually having deep thoughts about this question right now. I'm 33 and have a 2010 hatch. Stage 2 with CNT downpipe and Invidia exhaust. I absolutely love driving it, but I feel too old for the car. I think this exhaust is just too damn loud.

I have Perrin ELH, Cobb up pipe, Cobb catted down pipe and Perrin cat back (dual tip) on my '12 STi. Perfect exhaust profile for me. I can keep it low key or get real loud but it is all within my control. Start up until warm is the loudest by far. My 7 month old daughter loves it. The wife thinks it is "silly" but i just keep telling her it could be much worse.

42, 2nd wrx, first was '03, only did springs n struts. Drove it for 197K (original clutch BTW) until it burnt an exhaust valve. Sold it to a 48 year old as his first WRX, he rebuilt, turned over 200K, loves it, and is still driving it! Bought '13 WRX in same color, immediately did stage 2, couldn't be happier!

39, and after 10 plus years of loving them, i finally got into my first WRX a few weeks ago. 2014 SWP hatch, short throw shifter, SPT cat back, exhaust finishers & mud flaps. - I get excited to drive it everyday!

36 years old and finally got myself a STI. Figure it was time for a 4 door sedan (room for the baby car seat). all my previous cars were coupes.

Getting older does not mean you can't enjoy what you drive. =D

37 and have had my '11 WRX hatch for 2 years. I've stayed simple with the mods. Cobb Stage I, Whiteline sways with Kartboy endlinks, and a Kartboy SS w/ bushings. I'll probably go Stage II with a DP but will pass on the exhaust. No need for the noisemaker.

Same here, lots of sound deadening...and my previous ride was a GS400 99 vintage. :-) So quiet! I miss that car.
Also. I am 38 and own a 2012 WRX modified tastefully in my older age.
:-) (so was the GS400)
