40 here and got my 13 STi when I was 39. Been modding since the late 80's. OP asked about exterior mods and I can give two ****s about exterior mods. For me #1 is suspension and #2 is finding the apex and achieving maximum exit speed. Thats where my $ goes.

Well put. Function before form. The day I removed the spoiler and hood scoop was a good day. Only reason I got rims was to get more rubber and they're fairly conservative as far as looks go.

32 with a 2012 WRX. Had it for almost two years now and finally caved and bought a set of sway bars, coilovers, and an exhaust this month. Been modding cars since I was 16, can't shake it.

I am a 32 year old engineer with a 2002 wagon wrx that has a full sti swap. Love it. Running 20 psi and it's wild!

I'm going to be 43 and have had my '13 SE STI for about 5 months now. I LOVE it!! My wife says I needed an orange car with a big wing for my midlife crisis. Mods include Magnaflow exhaust, Cobb short throw shifter, HID fogs, Cobb heat shield, Cobb V3 accessport and it will probably never end!

Good to know there's still going to be hope for me to mod cars in a few years. I turn 25 in a few weeks. For me it's all function > form, something a lot of "car guys/girls" have lost lately *cough* stance *cough*

I am 37. I bought a new STI about 8 Months ago and I love it. I caught the mod bug quick. I am currently Stage 2 protuned. I have a larger turbo, injectors, and fuel pump going in next week.

60 years old last month and have a '14 WRX on order. Thought I would never get rid of my '97 Acura Integra - still love the car even at 242K miles. But I finally found another car to get excited about.

Can't wait for delivery!

Just joined the site. I'll be 32 in a month and a half and just picked up a new '14 WRX hatch last week. I'll never grow up and will never have a stock car or truck.

I'm 32, almost 33. On my third Wrx.(2011) And the wife just got her first forester. Which we're swapping for an XT at income tax time.
I'm more than happy with turbo Subaru. Not planning on going elsewhere any time soon

I wasn't going to read through 100 pages to see if I win. I'm 65. Bought my 09 WRX new in May of 09. Stage 1 Perrin tune, SPT exhaust and Mad Dad boost gauge. I'll be getting a 15 after all the idiots who pay over sticker are done. Your only as old as you feel.

Notice how the older guys are the ones who stay positive, and seem to be having the most fun ?

You know, FUN. It's not what you do, it's how you be. And it's never too late to start.
