39, 1 wife and 2 kids. Traded my 2011 kia optima sx, loaded...for a base 2015 wrx. From sporty lux to something a little more raw fun. I really missed rowing my own gears.

2 kids and a wife. Ordered a 2015 Limited CVT for my 40th birthday. Reluctantly giving up my 5 speed Hawkeye on account of constant traffic jams in Boston/Cambridge.

My brother actually got rid of his STi for a 5 passenger Toyota truck when he turned 30. He got married and they want kids. He hated getting rid of it though. And I hated it too because he used to let me drive it.

33, been married 9 years and have 1 son. Had a wrx from 25 till 2 weeks ago. Tough decision to let it go, but i replaced it with a forester xt. I still miss that rex. I poured myself into that car.

29 going on 30. This will be my 3rd scooby. I had an 04 WRX stock then got a 07 STI with modest exterior mods but stage 2. Sold that and got a Tacoma to take my Triumph STR to the track. I no longer plan on tracking the bike so I'm selling the Tacoma. I'm waiting on my 2015 WRX to arrive. I plan on modest exterior mods with a cobb stage 2 once it becomes available. I fully intend on keeping that car for 5 years. After that 5 years is up I'm sure the STI will have a newer motor and in that case I'll probably get another STI.

35, 1.5 kids, wife, '14 hatch. It is my second rex, had a '04 five years ago then I took over my wife's Civic Si. I was going to go with '14 Civic Si, but I did not like what they did to it. I always loved the look, and the versatility of the hatch so I did not considered the '15 Wrx. I drive plus minus 2k miles a month, 80 percent highway, and loving it.

Damn, the title makes me really feel old. I am 72 and just bought a 2015; got the CVT as shifting has become a pain. Believe it or not, there is life after 30.

I sold my Toyota Mark 4 Supra in 2002 because my wife said we were too old for that car, I got a 2002 WRX hatch back; a station wagon with an attitude;then had a 2007, now this one.

IMHO, one is never too old to have fun. The 2015 is a great car.

BTW, I never mod anything; I buy, drive, and grin.

You can get her an old one though. Those old 2.0L wagons really hold up...and can be pretty darn cheap to insure. If she's your grandkid, you don't need to worry about the insurance though ;-)

Or she can get her own instead of feeding the entitlement attitude that too many people my age have...
