Default Wiper Blades?

I'm in the market for some new wiper blades. On my last car I got Bosch ones, and I loved them, thought they were beefy and worked great. A little on the expensive side. I haven't tried or heard anything on any other brands. Anyone care to share their experiences? Thanks!

I have piaa si-tech. Great wipers, kind of expensive. Ofc, they also sell just the silicone part for like $9 a wiper, that'll feed into pretty much any wiper. It's good to start with a wiper that gives good, even pressure though.

Rain-X Latitude Blades, they are awesome. You can get them off of amazon for 12$ Each, and as well they are graphite coated so they dont make ANY noise what so ever. Awesome wiper blades, and I will be using them again and again.

I use Michelin HydroEdge. Got them for $9 or $10 and replace them at the start of winter every year.

1. This is the wrong forum
2. You're going to be replacing them a lot anyway, and I haven't been impressed enough with the Bosch Icons to think they were worth the money.

PIAA silicone blades are the best, period. They are expensive but last for a long time. My 04 WRX has just alittle over 60,000 miles on it and has had the same wiper blades now for 6 years and they still work prefect. I had a 03 SVT I put 200,000 miles on it in 5 years and one set of PIAA silicone went 3 years and 120,000 miles before I replaced them. Tried the Valeo on the SVT and LGT but only got 1 year out of them.

Another PIAA vote here, never seen blades that last as long as these.

I like the PIAAs but usually just pick up some Bosch Micro Excel...the curvy ones streak on my windshield but I've heard that for some they don't..weird.

I have been using the big thick bosch blades the last two times. IMO they are over priced, and after last winter i am through with them. they were good for about 5 or 6 months and already they just smear rain everywhere. As much as i like the way the wipers look, i will not be purchasing a new set in the future. thinking i may try the rainex blades next time.

Oem blades are cheap rubber that last at best 6 months to a year, if you keep them clean and use rain-x. You must be buying more cheap blades if the Oem is the best you've used.

i have tried some of the blades mentioned in here. even consumer reports came to the same conclusion, aftermarket blades often work like crap. either they dont wipe good or they miss parts of the windshield. i use rain x washer fluid but other than that i just wash the car weekly and replace the blades yearly.

I have michelins on mine now that were on it when I bought it. I have been reading more into the PIAA's instead of the rain-x latitudes, but which piaa's are you guys referring to? The Forza Hybrids look nice but they don't make a 17" for the passenger side and idk if an 18" would be cutting it too close. The SI-Tech Silicone are ones im looking at (similar style to RX latitudes) but I also have no idea about the Super Sporza and Super Silicone Styles.

Normally I would never pay $20-30 per wiper but its worth it for my baby lol.

^ they can be trimmed with a razor blade, then cut the metal strips.
