Question Need Directions into Toronto

Coming into Toronto on Sunday Aug 11 from Windsor. Any opinions on best route, least orange barrels, etc. 401 or 403? Thanks!

Jump on the 401 and don't stop until you hit the traffic jams near Pearson airport. We have lots of visitors in Toronto right now with Caribana going on. Watch for the OPP near Cambridge. Have fun excerising your right foot.

if you stay in downtown.. CN towers...stay in QEW and then Gardiner.. don't need to take 403/427 north to 401.. 401 is kind of mid town... actually don't know if your state is connected to Ontario's system.. you might be able to take a free (electronic) toll ride in 407 to up/north town.

We're staying downtown so we will be taking the QE2-Gardner Expressway. Last time we drove in on the 401 there was construction and we missed the turnoff on 427 down to the QE2. Looking on the CAA map it looks like the 427 turnoff should be just after interchange 348 but do we need to get off on local lanes of 401 before then?

No, just stay to the right when you see the airport on your left. 427 south ramp will split off just after the airport. If you hit Dixie Rd., you've gone too far. You can stay in the express lanes.

Thanks guys. We had a wonderful week in Toronto. No problems driving or dodging the street cars. Great city.
