Default Supercharger kit for EJ25 engine

There is a post in the "Aftermarket Forced Induction" forum which eventually let's it be known that a company called DNT Performance is considering reviving the Rimmer aftermarket supercharger kit that once-apon-a-time was available for for the EJ25rs. IMHO, a supercharger would be a heck of a lot more suited to off-road use, where low end boost is more important than higher RPM power (eg: turbo). If any of you are interested, email DNT at: [email protected]

Dave....That would be great. I think I would prefer a blower to a turbo also. I like the idea of the boost always available as opposed to waiting for things to spool up.

I also think that the "Rimmer" had some issues with installation/fitment/customer support. I suppose if they could sort all that out it would be a great option.

While I'm not chomping on the bit to get one....I for one will try to keep up and see where it goes.

Thanks for the post......

Received an email from Kent Burgess of DNT performance:

The Rimmer supercharger is out... DNT will be using a centrifugal unit from Rotrex .

DNT has located a machine shop/supplier for the mounting bracket, expects to ramp up production soon. The intake piping is also being finalised by a supplier.

DNT is now addressing some interference problems with belts, and hoses.

DNT expects a completed prototype by early this month.

After seeing several failed attempts at producing a viable SC setup for the Subaru application, I guess we should keep our fingers (and toes!) crossed.

Thumbs down

FYI, Rimmer switched to Rotrex s/c's right before he bailed...
